~ I know it's been a while my loyal ninjas, but here is the second story. 😎~
Kankuro POV
I roll over in bed, my head splitting in agony. As I open my eyes, the light blinds me and intensifies my headache. What the hell happened last night?
Groaning, I get up, surprised that I'm still fully dressed. As I undress and head for the nearest shower, I try to remember last nights events and come up with a blank. I'm getting kind of worried now, I don't like this gap in my memory.
I pull on my clothes, gear and face paint after my shower. Heading down to the kitchen, my headache still pounding away. Grabbing something to eat, I head to sit down.
~Well look who's up, sleeping beauty!~
I flinch at Temari's loud voice, causing a ringing in my ears.
~Why are you so loud?~ I grumble.
~Looks like somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed.~
I grumble and sit down eating my breakfast.
~What happened last night?~ I wonder out loud.
~I suppose you wouldn't remember getting drunk on sake.~
I turn towards her, my fast movement making me dizzy.
~I got drunk?~
~No, you got wasted. You couldn't even walk home. Kasai had to drag your butt home last night.~
Kasai? As in Kasai Ryu? Crap, crap, crap.
~I couldn't tell who was redder in the face, you or her.~
~She was drunk?~
Temari shakes her head.
~No, actually she was completely sober. Didn't have a drop in her system. But she was almost as red as you were when she threw you in the bed.~
I could feel my cheeks burning. Kasai Ryu, probably the most badass and beautiful kunoichi I've ever laid eyes on, saw me drunk off my ass and had to drag me home. Damn it. What the hell was I thinking? And why was she blushing?
~ I need to go.~
I mumble, going out the door before she can respond. I need to talk to Kasai and apologize for last night. Walking through the crowded streets of Suna, I try to fill the gap in my mind. Passing by the the local bar, a memory flashes in my mind.
The world seems to spin as I try to move forward, causing me to tilt as well. Just as I lose my fight with gravity, a pair of arms reaches out to steady me.
~Kankuro? Are you alright? How much have you had to drink?~
I turn to face the owner of that beautiful voice. Kasai's purple eyes look at me in concern.
~Helloooooo, K'sai.~ I slur out, a blush tinting my cheeks.
~It seems you're quite drunk.~
~Yyyepp.~ I slur again.
She holds me up as she starts to walk, not even bothered by my weight.
~Alright then Kuro, I'm taking you home.~
~Oooh, really? I didn't knowww ya liked me like that Kazzy.~
She blushes lightly but says nothing, keeping her eyes on the road in front of her.
~I'm sorry..~ I hiccup out after a few minutes of silence.
