The title was inspired by the Celtic (or pre-Celtic) symbol of the Hale Pack and Alpha Pack which are both Triskelions. The Triskele of The Hale Pack (or triple sprial) means- in this case- Alpha, Beta, Omega. Anyone can rise in or fall out of these ranks (hence the spiral). The Alpha Pack's Triskele (which I have yet to find a name for) does not have spirals because there is no rise and fall in rank because they are all Alphas. Much of Teen Wolf is based off if folklore so you'll be hearing about a lot of stuff like this throughout not only the show but my books as well, I like to stay as canon compliant as possible.
The sequel to this story is titled Anchor, it will be a little different than this book. Firstly, it focuses on Seasons 3 and 4. Secondly, it will be a three part story, since I want there to be a bit of a lapse between 3A and 3B (thanksgiving break) and then between 3B and 4 (winter break). Cross Country will occur in 3A but Lacrosse will be played in 4. Instead of Scott being a Junior he will be a Sophomore since he was a Freshman in this story.
