Narrators POV.
When Natsu and Lucy wake up in the morning, they do their normal routine. Natsu goes and takes a shower while Lucy goes and makes breakfast. They eat their breakfast together, when they're done, Lucy goes and takes a shower while Natsu goes on his morning walk around the neighborhood; however, this morning is a little different.
As soon as Natsu opens the door, he hears Lucy call out his name out of fear/shock.
"Natsu !" Says Lucy
"What is it Lucy ? Are you ok ?" Asked Natsu
"Look at my neck" she said as she turned to Natsu. "And look at yours too !" She added.
"They almost look like vampire bites, and the veins around mine look bright red." Said Lucy
"And the veins around mine look gold" said Natsu. "How did we not notice this at breakfast ?" He added.

"How ? And when did this happen ?" Said Lucy.
"Lucy. I can barely remember it, but before all that stuff happened with Draco, do you remember kissing my neck ? And did the words 'mark him' pass through your mind ?" Asked Natsu
"Natsu how do you know that" asked Lucy as she turned to him with a look of concern.
"Because the words 'mark her' ran through my head when I kissed your neck last night. Now look at us, we both have the same marks on our neck, mines gold, and your's is red." Said Natsu
"Oh no. We have to go to the guilds request board today and get a job to pay the upcoming rent, and we can't go to the guild like this. Where's my make-up ?" Said Lucy.
"Don't worry Lucy. I pay rent a couple of days early to make the landlady happy, she also has been giving me a discount on rent because of it. I paid it the day before you got back." Said Natsu. "For now, I'll put on my scarf like normal and head to the guild to ask Gajeel if he knows anything about these markings. Ok ?" He added
"Ok." Said Lucy. "Do you want me to ask Draco if he knows anything ?" She asked.
"I wouldn't, at least I wouldn't talk to him for a few days after what happened last night. He might feel a bit embarrassed about how stash face had to intervene last night." Said Natsu.
"Ok, be safe. I love you" said Lucy as she kissed him bye
"I love you too" said Natsu as he kissed her back. "I moved the movies into the cabinet next to the TV, and I added some new ones too." He said as he walked out the door.
Natsu's POV.
I walk over to Gajeel's apartment on the other side of town to see if I can catch him before he heads to the guild. I walk around the block only to see him and Levy standing in front of the door to his apartment making out. I jolt back around the block hoping not to be seen, but I keep my head turned around the corner to see what's going on, I didn't know Gajeel and Levy (or 'Gajevy' as Mira puts it) were a thing.
"Bye Gajeel, I'll see you at the guild." Said Levy. "I love you." She added biting her lip as she walked off.
"I love you too." He said as he watched her ass as she walked off. He turns but I see his nose twitch as he smells the air and then looks me straight in the eyes..... Fuck.
"How much of that did you see Salamander ?" He said as he walked over to me.
"Enough to know you too are a thing, but that's not why I'm here." I said
"Then what ?" He asked annoyed.
"This." I said lowering my scarf so that he can see Lucy's bite marks.
"Oh shit. Congratulations Salamander, but I'm gonna need you to stand like 5 feet that a way." he said pointing behind me and he stepped back.
"What do you mean congratulations ? And why were you telling me to keep my distance ?" I asked.
"What do you mean why ?" Asked Gajeel. "Do you not know what those marks mean ?" He added.
"No, and neither does Lucy" I said. "Now can we step inside and talk about this ?" I asked.
"Natsu how old were you when Igneel left ?" He asked
"What does that have to do with anythi-" I asked but am interrupted by Gajeel
"Just spit it out Salamander." He said. "Now how old were you ?" He added.
"11" I said. "Now can you tell me how that's relevant ?" I asked.
"Well remember Salamander, I'm a year old than you and Metalicana didn't give me the talk till right before he left." He said. "Did Igneel not give you the talk ?" He asked.
"What talk ?" I asked. "The sex talk ?" I added.
"No dumbass the rice and beans talk." He said sarcastically. "Of course I mean the sex talk." He added.
"Of course he did." I said.
"Well did he give you the other talk about how it's different for people like us ?" Asked Gajeel.
"What do you mean people like us ?" I asked
"Dragon Slayers aren't like normal humans. Our magic gives us the senses and abilities of dragons, including their instincts." Said Gajeel. "First, a dragon finds someone they find worthy enough to call a mate and marks them. Then, after marking them, they go into heat and it starts the mating season. When they're in heat, it sends all the other dragons that of age in a 20 mile radius to instinctually the same: find a mate, mark them, and reproduce. And you ash for brains just started the mating season." He said as if to scold me.
"Nope, that talk never happened 😅." I said awkwardly.
"Damnit Natsu." Said Gajeel. "You and Lucy need to go to BFE." He added.
"What in hell is that ?" I asked.
"It means 'bum fuck elsewhere.'" he said. "Seriously, you need need to go before you go into heat or you'll send the rest of us into heat, now go." He added.
I seriously need to get to Lucy.
"Thank-you Gajeel, but how did you know it was Lucy ?" I asked as I walked off.
"Dude, I was their when the guild fought Achnologia, and I even knew before then. You had each other's scents all over each other, you two must've been living together by that point." He said. "Plus, the color of the mark will collate with the others element. Just looking at yours, I know Lucy marked you and her mark is probably red." He added.
