AMARI POV
"So then what happened?" Yasmin asked. I was explaining to her about Royce and I's conversation earlier in my room.
"Nothing, but I will tell you this when he asked the last time I've been on a date, it kinda brought back some feelings." I sighed."sometimes I wish Royce and I didn't end on bad terms"
"Is he still single?" Lexi asked.
"That's the thing I don't know and also I don't fully trust him yet after all he did cheat on me before and walked out on me." I sighed." but hey I-" I was cut off by the doorbell. I got up and went downstairs and opened the door.
"Royce why you back so early." he was holding RJ and a bag from the Cheesecake Factory.
"Well bubba got tired after we went out for dinner and thought that it was time to bring him back and also I brought you back some food." He walked in and sat the bag on the counter.
"Boy you better take yo shoes of before you dirty up this carpet." I warned him sounding like my mom. He kicked his slides off and looked at me.
"Don't throw theses at me." he joked. He started to walk upstairs but I stopped him.
"I'll take him." I reached for RJ but Royce shrugged me off.
"I got him Mari go eat yo food before it get cold."
"Mari hurry up with the food we hungry." I heard Yas yell before opening the door.
"Shit" I mumbled. See Yas and Royce lowkey got beef with each ther. It all started in sophomore year when Royce and I started to hit licks. She thought he was a "bad influence" said the one who's dating Lathan.
"Mari where's his room?" Royce asked completely ignoring Yas
"Right across from the bathroom, you would actually know if you were in your sons life." Yasmine mugged. Royce's jaw tightened and whew chile the flood gates opened up before I could say anything the doorbell rang.
"Yas can you go get that for me it's probably the pizza man." She went downstairs leaving me and Royce standing infront of RJ's room. Royce walked in and layed him in his little race car bed.
" So how was your day with R-"
"Mari I wanna fuck you so bad it's not even funny." Royce said sounding frustrated.
"uh" I quickly turned around and saw Lexi smirking." well imma head downstairs." she hurried down stairs leaving me and Royce.
"Mari give me another chance"
"Royce lemme think about it cause the last time we were together you chose gang over love and it honestly hurt me." my voice cracked
"Amari how about this," He grabbed my waist and pulled me close" how about this weekend we go on a date just me and you?"
"Ok" he kissed me slowly. we were doing this for about ten minutes until wee got interrupted.
"Aye that's my nigga" I pulled away and saw Neek at the top of the stairs
"Neek shut the fuck up" Royce groaned. I giggled and walked downstairs to see Mosey, Jay, Yas, and Lexi all in the living room.
"Well look who it is" Jay got up and gave me a hug.
"Hey yall" I waved, I noticed Sauve wasn't there, not that I'm complaining."where's Sauve"
"Uhh there was an incident earlier between Royce and Sauve long story short Sauve pulled a gun out on him and said next time he better not be lacking" Mosey explain. I turned my head towards Royce.
" So when were you gone tell me Royce?"
"It ain't important Mari I really don't give a fuck and I'm not worried about Sauve bitch ass"
"Well it is important because I don't want my man- baby daddy getting hurt." I caught myself
"Well it ain't about my family, son, or you I don't care" He was getting irritated.
"Well, I got good news KK coming home soon" Lex added, KK was and still is Lexi's man.
"Really when? "
"Around Christmas. I can't wait to see my baby" We spent the rest of the night talking and goofing off around one on the morning everybody except Royce left.
"You think yo mom would care if I slept on the couch? " Royce asked with his voice all deep and shit. When I tell you he caused a tsunami I mean he gave me a damn tsunami.
"I'm sure she won't mind" I shrugged.
"Well night Amari" He kissed my cheek.
"Night baby boy" And with that I went upstairs.
