They are real
"As I presume you all know of Irish folklore of fairies. But I doubt that you know of the dark side of these creatures. The Fae, they are the dark villains of the fairy world, they had very bad customs, they were thought to steal children and leave vile changelings. The- "
Meira listened to her world history teacher drone on about what she thought was a bunch of baloney, Meira was a beautiful looking girl, she had long wavy auburn and hazel eyes.
"Meira, can you please tell me the name of the Dark Fae Court?"
"Oh, umm... isn't it The Unseelie Court?"
"Very good Meira, especially for a student that wasn't even paying attention."
Then the bell rang, and all the students ran out of the room as a single at the end of the day. Meira packed her bag slowly excepting to be called to the front office to speak with the counsellor.
"Meira James, Meira James please go to the counsellor's office, thank you."
"Here we go again." Meira thought to herself as she made her way down to the office. She walked straight into Dr Johnston's room and entered taking a seat in the huge comfy chair.
"So ... Meira how have you been doing in your... situation."
She could tell Dr Johnston was batting around the bush.
"Please, Dr Johnston we don't need to bat around the bush. My brother has gotten kidnapped and no one's even looking."
"Dear, the police are doing everything they can to find your missing brother."
"Well Dr Johnston this has been fun, but I will see you tomorrow I must go home. Goodbye"
With that, Meira headed out of the office and to her hiding area. Her family lived relatively close to a small forest, which her hiding place was in. Her parents wouldn't be home till six, so she was able to have three hours to herself. She quickly dropped her things off at their house and went into the forest with a book and her music.
On her way into the forest there was something very peculiar, Meira noticed that here was an abnormal amount of fairy rings* but, she just kept on walking until she got to her favorite tree to sit under and situated herself. (*Rings of mushrooms)
Meira slowly drifted into her world of tranquility and a place where her brother was still with the family and happy growing up and going to his first year of primary school*. Unknown to her is that the Fae were truthfully real, and after her family for revenge. (*Elementary school)
It had been almost two hours since she sat, and she was almost finished with her book as Meira saw a seemingly disembodied shadow. Meira stayed silent and just started to sketch the "thing" on the margins of her book. She just watched, until it spoke to her.
"Miss... I do like you drawing my shadow, but could you please at least acknowledge me while you draw."
He said in a regal low voice startling Meira.
"Oh! Sir, I'm sorry I didn't realize that you were... well, able to talk, well I'll try to talk while I draw you, but could you please tell me what's your name."
"Well, miss I can't tell you my name, but you can call me The Fae."
"Wait isn't the Fae evil creatures from Irish folklore, why do you what to be named after an evil creature, also I need to go home my parents are probably looking for me."
