You already know how a love story starts, but this isn't a love story. This is a story about a broken Heart, or a shattered heart. Hearts are easily broken by the power of the words "I love you". So few people understand how much power is in those words. They don't understand that those three little words can destroy someone. Those three words have the power to raise an Empire or they have the power to bring one down. More often than not they are thrown about, not seen as powerful as they really are. And so they become a weapon, an invisible weapon that no one sees, no one hears, And no one believes is truly there.
Love has started wars, it has signed peace treaties, and given new hope to people who have none. And it is shared in just three words. Three words that are often abused. Three words that are often not taken as they really are. Three words that are often given a different meaning. Thrown about, as if nothing short of non existent. A heart can be broken simply by misusing those words and that can lead to consequences that no one predicts.
A broken heart is a dangerous thing. It can push people to do things that they wouldn't normally do. It can draw out the darkest side of people. It can throw sanity out of the window. That is why loving is dangerous, especially when that love is not real. Broken hearts can be many men's downfall. And it can drag woman down to the lowest place in their lives. They aren't easy to fix, and some can't be. They remain a broken heart, because they are too far damaged to be whole again.
So as I said as I started the prologue, and I now repeat finishing it, this is not a love story. This is the story of a broken heart and how it was fixed, how it was healed, and what it chose to do next.
