Flower garden

You are the flower that caught my eye in the garden vast
Everyday I came by you, saw you face the sun and giggle as the bees sat atop you
Your petals, your fragrance, I loved every part of you
When you cried,my world crumbled
At first, I wanted to root you out of your soil and plant you in a pot and keep you by my side
But as the seasons passed, I learned to love you in your world
I stopped trying to drag you out
Elated was I whenever I was a part of your frolic, part of your swaying in the robust wind, a support to your stem when the storm kicked up
I learned not to enclose you
I learned to love you from afar
From the lands in the sky to the land you stood upon
I learned that love is not when you are someone's source of happiness rather it's when you feel happy seeing them smile, when they overcome their toxic weeds on their own, when they are let to be themselves.
Love ain't always two rivers flowing into one ocean, it sometimes is one moon in the absolute dark night sky.
