Chapter 22

"Fire blast!"

"Freeze!"

"I see the image of Queen Elsa in you but that won't stop me!" Valir claimed. "Blazing fire!"

"I do not know who that queen is but it's so insolent of you to flock me with the likes of her!" Queen Aurora exclaimed. "Ice burst!"

"Queen Elsa is the true definition of an ice queen. If you could only sing just like her, I couldn't imagine what it would be like," said the fire mage.

"Impudent mage!" the ice queen snarled. "Feel the fiery ice of the only ice queen! Raging ice!!"

"It seems Queen Aurora is enjoying the fight," Princess Odette commented as they watch the ice queen and Valir seriously fight without hesitation.

"That seems to be the case," Lancelot agreed.

Aurora noticed their presence so she stopped for a while to greet them but got a ball of fire from Valir shot across her head.

"Freeze!" she chanted and the fire mage was frozen in no time, giving her the time to talk.

"My," said the queen, "I feel so ashamed to be found in this situation by the swan princess."

Princess Odette smiled and curtsied, "No, my queen, seeing you happy and enjoying your time is very much amusing. It is not everyday that I see you fight."

Queen Aurora chuckled as she walked towards her throne.

"What can I do for my favorite swan princess?" she asked.

"I came to ask if you had seen one of my talented warriors roaming around the Enchanted Forest," replied Odette.

"For thousands of years that I have been ruling over these snow lands, there are thousands of wanderers that have been lost here," Queen Aurora said.

"The young warrior I am looking for is a Leonin survivor," Princess Odette replied for she knew that the queen is asking what the young warrior looks like. "He possesses magic that is yet to become powerful."

"Ah, the underdeveloped Leonin," said the queen. "If I may ask, what is truly happening in Magical City and Land of Dawn? Just this morning, the CEO also came and brought this blazing man in exchange of that little genius magician and mechanical doll."

"The abyss is trying to take over the land, my queen. I have joined hands with Princess Silvanna to fight them off," said the Princess.

"And what of that CEO?"

"It seems he has other goals to pursue other than defeating the enemy. I cannot give him my trust in this war," the Princess said honestly.

"Do not show me that sad face of yours, Odette. You know that is one of my weaknesses," the queen commented without looking at her.

"Fire blast!"

Valir managed to melt the ice that had him frozen solid.

"Not now, young man," said the queen as she deflected the fire away.

"'Frozen' is a wonderful movie but I do not like being literally frozen, I'll look for another opponent. Farewell, ice queen. If we ever meet again, I'd hope you could sing the song entitled 'Let it Go'," Valir said with a bow before he left the castle.

"That foolish man makes my head ache. As I was saying, I do not dare meddle in whatever chaos is ruining your kingdom. But if giving back the Leonin to you would lighten the burden, then you shall have him back."

With just one snap of her fingers, Lolita, Harith, Lylia and Nana appeared in the throne room and was turned back to normal.

"They'll be awake after a while," she said.

Princess Odette curtsied.

"Thank you very much, my queen. I owe you a lot this time. I shall come and return the favor when I have fulfilled my duties."

"You're too formal, Odette. But I shall wait for that day," the queen said before opening the portal back to Magical City.

"Queen Aurora, can I take all of them? Lion Academy is in chaos due to their absence as well."

The ice queen tilted her head as if her favor is way too much.

"Odette, I do not give these for free," she said, "You know that very well."

"My queen, what do I have to give to satisfy you?" asked the princess.

"You see, I have heard of Pharsa's unluckiness. She lost her sight, then had her husband turn into a bird. I have also heard of Kadita's mishaps. As a princess, what would you like to do, Odette?" Queen Aurora asked.

"I shall bring the perpetrator to you in addition to your frozen collection, my queen," replied Odette.

"Wonderful idea, princess," Aurora stated. "You truly are knowledgeable. Then, you can have these kids back."

"Thank you, my queen."

As they travel back to the castle, Lancelot couldn't help but get worried towards his lover.

"Alice is a cunning and formidable demon," he stated.

"I know but I must take this risk to have Harith back. He may still be young but he has an undiscovered talent. Princess Silvanna can polish him. If we are ready, we can take the Land of Dawn back. That matters the most" the princess said. "If I fail Queen Aurora, I am prepared to face her fury."

Lancelot held her hand and held it reassuringly, "You won't fail. I will always be here to protect you and help you with your responsibilities."

The princess smiled at the knight.

Upon reaching Magical City, Odette brought Lolita and Nana to Lunox.

"This girl is a black magician, where shall we take her?" Lancelot asked.

"She will surely receive the people's hateful words. It is best if she stays under my roof. Let's go back to the castle," replied Princess Odette.

The princess had Harith and Lylia be tended by the royal doctor to assure that they'll be fine.

On her throne room, Odette had called for the ninjas from the town of Iga.

"I know you already have an idea who had massacred your kinsmen. Just as I promised, I brought her to you," she announced. "Bring her in."

A few royal guards came marching in with two holding down a hooded woman. She seemed to be drugged for she could not move well and her eyes are only half opened.

"Your Highness, pardon my intrusion but you must have been mistakened. Natalia has been under my care ever since she entered the castle," Tigreal said as he knelt down with one knee and his head bowed down.

Odette raised her hand to make him stop from speaking further.

"I know that very well, general. But before I allowed her inside my castle, she had worked under the cunning CEO who is planning something we do not know of. And this assassin who received royal training inside the castle grounds had killed countless people. That is not what I have trained you for, Natalia. Now, you shall face the consequences of your actions. If you ask for mercy, you shall only receive it from the chief of the Iga town," the princess claimed.

"Your Highness, we are grateful of your kindness," Kagura curtsied. "We shall bring her back to our village and send the best ninjas to join the war with you."

"The royal guards shall escort you back. I expect the reinforcement as soon as possible," replied Odette before dismissing them.

"Your Highness," Tigreal called out.

"I apologize, general, but I shall hear you out after we are done saving the Land of Dawn," Odette stated with diction. She faced the four warriors she had called; Fanny, Alucard, Granger and Tigreal.

"I had retrieved Harith back. As a preparation for the war against the demons, you shall all go and train under Princess Silvanna's castle grounds when Harith regains back his consciousness," she announced. "I have faith in the five of you. Tigreal, I expect you to lead the team."

"Yes, Your Highness," replied the general.

"Dismissed," said the princess.
