1. How and When did you join Wattpad?

Well, I was just browsing through all the online reading platforms when I stumbled across Wattpad. Not only did it quench the thirst of my inner bookworm by an endless supply of mindblowing books but also it offered so many exciting opportunities for aspiring writers. So, overall, I have been on this platform for 4 years now and since then, I have been trying to navigate my way through all sorts of genres, stories, challenges whilst also concentrating on my studies and delving into all that I have gathered.

2. What kind of Genres do you love writing on? What is the inspiration behind your stories?

Good question! Well, I try to not categorise them because I have this insatiable need to learn about everything and anything, be it of the literary or the science fiction. But when it comes to writing, I know I cannot possibly write in every genre that there is still, I try to challenge myself to give it a try but at present, I like expressing myself in the Historical, Literary, Spiritual, Poetry and Humour genres. I do enjoy all the diversified genres, especially when it comes to reading. Recently, I have started to experiment with a very different genre and hopefully, I can pull off something innovative. Now, talking about inspiration which is so significant when it comes to writing or for any sort of art, I do suffer from the occasional and sometimes, frustrating writer's block. But Nature has been my muse since I have discovered this ability of mine. Also, I tend to observe people and get inspired by their extensive stories that weave their way into my overdriven and highly functional mind and I just get on with it. So go with what truly inspires you and it's all about what you see because your perception mingled with your imagination can find its way towards splendid opportunities. Also, feelings are quite encouraging, as bizarre as that sounds especially in poetry. I have learned this from my own experience that when you're overwhelmed with emotions or when you're just not feeling it, you ought to immerse yourself further into that anguish so, instead of isolating yourself, write what comes to your heart first.

3. How did you market your story on Wattpad? Tell us a bit about your engagement on Wattpad.

Well, I don't like promoting myself to be honest. I just don't like it when I know it's quite important in this or in any field for that matter. Yet I know that I cannot leave an impact or help people if I just keep to myself. That being said, I share my works with my family and even friends, those who are interested anyway and as soon as I get a poem/chapter published, I announce it to my followers through my message board which is the best way to get everyone's attention without coming off as rather rude and informal. Now, since I have been here for four years, I try to engage myself in all sorts of things; for instance-I try to support aspiring authors by promoting their stories and encouraging them. Also, thanks to Wattpad, I have made some incredible friends from all around the world and found an organisation but more of a family that has made me who I am today. Moreover, I regularly participate in contests and competitions to challenge and improvise my writing because there's always scope for improvement.

4. How has Wattpad influenced your Life?

Wattpad- is my first real friend and I cannot be more grateful for its existence. For an introverted, free-minded girl like me, it made a huge impact on my overall personality. In the way that I think, believe and give advice to all those who need it, I know that it has helped me in shaping myself. Not only this but it has also made me find a home. I have been granted with this opportunity to read such unprecedented jewels of all the times that I cannot put my love and the effect that this website has on me, in simple and lucid words but I just want to say that I am so very glad to be a part of this platform. Being challenged daily and being driven by hope and passion without the fear of being judged is all that I have ever needed so thank you Wattpad for changing my life and bringing out the best in me.

5. What Wattpad means to you?

Home, it is home to me. Because of Wattpad I have met and befriended some of my best friends and equally talented authors and poets. Because of Wattpad, I can comprehend this enormous world and strive to make my aspirations thrive. Along the way, I came across some unique things and came to terms with the reality of everything. The stories that this platform has to share are, undoubtedly, the best and one cannot just find them anywhere but here. It has provided every writer-may it be someone who has a passion for writing and wants to further develop their skills or an individual to just try it as a hobby, with equal and the most professional opportunity. Moreover, the astounding yet beautiful relationship between the writers and the readers is so encouraging and just special, it feels so good to be able to play both the roles and at the same time, divulge into everything that this website has to offer. All in all, as I have mentioned before and as I am happy to say it all over again, Wattpad is the best thing to ever happen to me and I just want to devote myself to achieve all that I have ever envisioned for me as well as for everyone, including this amazing platform.
