Moonlight filtered through the trees. Shadows of pine trees decorate across his blanket, from an upper bedroom window. One of which he heard what sounded to be that of two knocks. A familiar pattern he became, accustomed.
His mother would be nerved, if she ever knew he let another in his room so late in the night. But Dorian had become somewhat more daring after surviving what would have been a fatal wound.
Warren Peace uses no effort, to hoist himself inside.
"This room taken?"
"Ha, ha. Just get in before my mom or Ava hears you."
The bed dipped soon as he flopped beside him. He so missed the heat, radiating off Warren's body when they laid beside one another. The way Warren would thread his fingers through his hair. An occasional love bite to his neck.
"Missed this..." he whispered.
"Missed it to." Dorian murmured. "Mom told me it wasn't pretty..."
"It wasn't, far from it. You had us all freaked out, when Royal Pain stabbed you. But, maybe you're more indestructible than what you believe."
Dorian laid his head against Warren's chest. A faint smile etching across. "As if anything will keep me from being with you. And, my family/friends of course."
A slight rumble of a chuckle sounded deep, from Warren. Followed by a classic Peace grin. "Please, I think we all know whom your real favorite is around here."
"Yeah...Will's pretty awesome."
He laughed at his reaction.
"I'm joking, Warren, you should know that by now."
It is unclear what their future holds. But, as Amethyst listened in silence behind the door to the room, she did know one thing. Amidst the darkness which threatened still, their future never looked brighter.
