Lillys POV
"Mommy? Whats your favorite shade?" I asked, looking up at her. "I don't have one." she replied simply, holding daddys hand as we strolled down the street. I looked up at her confused at how someone couldn't have a favorite shade, mine was light grey, "How come?"
"Because I have a favorite color." she said, smiling down at my 6 year-old self. "Whats color?" I asked, the new word strange to me."Its this amazing thing that brightens everything up." she explained, ruffling my hair.
"Its starting to get late, we better start heading back." Daddy said, nodding towards the other direction. "Lets" Mommy said, kissing him on the lips and picking me up. In no time we where back at our white, two story house.
Ever sense I heard the word, I have been wondering about color. 'I'll ask my teacher tomorrow' I decided. "Alright Lil, lets get you changed and in bed, you have school tomorrow" mommy said as soon as we were inside, and we set off to do just that.
Soon enough, mommy and daddy where tucking me in. "Get to sleep, I love you" Daddy said. "See you in the morning, Love you honey." Mommy said, kissing me on the head and hugging me, daddy did the same.
"Love you to" I said, snuggling into my cover and clinging on to my favorite teddy bear as mommy turned on my night light and flicking the light off and shutting the door. As I fell asleep, I only had one thought on my mind was color.
