There's this amazing thing unknown to me and so many people. It's unlike anything you could ever imagine! My mother as well as a friend of mine have tried to explain it to me before, but they could never actually find the words.

But how do you actually describe color?

How do you give words to the reddish hue of a girl's cheeks as she blushes? How do you explain the bright blue of the summer sky? The gleam of yellow light bouncing off a clear pond?

To imagine the world as anything other than black, white, and maybe a slightly different shade of grey here and there is completely beyond anyone's realm of understanding.

You just can't.

Nor can you actually give words to the cause of this phenomon called color.

I've been told it's the most incredible feeling in the world! The moment a slight hint of green flashes in the grass of a field and blue glimmering in the eyes of the person standing in front of you. How can you even begin to imagine the moment? What color will appear first? The idea of actually being able to answer the question "What is your favorite color?"

Or will any of that even come to mind in that moment? For to know color, you must know something even more enchanting. That first glimmer, a slight increase in heart rate, spark of heat in your cheeks and a pinch in your chest as you introduce yourself to that person for the first time.

It doesn't come all at once, colors bursting into view and passion flooding your world. At least that's only how it is in the stories. Boy meets girl and all of a sudden the world is a rainbow of colors and love and everything is right in the world.

In reality, it comes in waves. Or so I'm told.

A color here, a color there. The feelings begin and grow inside of you as you fall in love with your soulmate. Before you know it, you're head first in the sea of love and everything around you has come into light!

Finally having color and love in your life...
