Hanging off the branches
Im hanging on a swing
The wind swaying them softly
The wind swinging me
Its colors are intense
A very bright red orange
The colors of me
When I’m excited, happy, joyful, ecstatic
When I’m with others who compliment me
And when you peel away the walls
Sweet insides are exposed
And I’m not talking about
My skin and bones
I’m kind and sweet
Nice and neat
But I’m messy too
Blood oranges juice
Everywhere more than not
All over hands and sticking
An imprint on people’s mind
That I was there, and there I stay
Blood oranges delineate me
And here I swing on this swing
While blood oranges sway in their trees.
