Wishes/Resolution

Eren and Annie were sitting at the table facing each other for dinner, the new year was coming up so Annie asked him a timely question "do you have any goals for the new year?" Eren thought about it for a few seconds while breaking his bread up into edible pieces "to beat you in hand to hand combat" Eren says not really thinking of anything else. Annie laughed "no offence its gonna be longer then a year before that happens" Eren wasn't as happy as Annie when she said that "what about you?" Eren asked. Annie thought about it "be nicer?" she said confused. Eren wasn't happy with Annie's answer "come on, you got to have something better then that!"

Annie thought about it for a second "not a resolution but I want to see my father again" she said softly, Eren was slightly shook by this "how long has it been since you've seen him?" Eren asked, "three or four years, I've lost track" she says looking down. "I would want what were doing to stop" Eren says. Annie is confused by what Eren said "Really?" she asks "why are you surprised?" Eren asks "it ... just seems a bit strange coming from you, I thought you wanted to do this more then anyone" she explains "I don't want to do this forever, yeah I want to stop the Titans more then anyone but I wouldn't want to do this forever, I want this to end" Eren explained. Annie had no clue how to react to this, Eren usually didn't talk like this for all the time they have known each other.

Eren looked at Annie "I want this year to be different, but I don't know how to do it" he explains. "I have one other thing" Annie says, Eren looks at Annie "its kind of dumb" she continues "I doubt it is, say it" Eren says "alright" Annie takes a small breath "I want us to spend more time together" Eren is slightly confused by what Annie just said "why do you think that's dumb, i don't think it is" Eren says. Annie stares into his eyes "we really only spend time together during training, I want it to be more then just that" she says. Eren smiles "alright, we will, when we're both free tomorrow let's go for a walk or something" Eren says. Annie slightly smiles "I'd like that" Annie says.
