A/N Again, it's short. But I've got a pretty good plan for Wednesday's chapter, so hopefully it's longer!

Harry's POV
It was a little bit sad, leaving my mum. She and I had grown really close since Gem died. And from what the boys said, we didn't get to see our family all that often. I knew my mum would feel weird with an empty house. Even when I went to uni I always came home a lot. Now she would only see me every once in a while. She told me it didn't matter, that she could deal without me. I hoped she was right.
"Ready, Harry?" Niall asked. I shrugged.
"Ready to go back to the hell-hole I now live in?" I sighed. Niall made a face.
"Yeah, I guess," he said. I jammed the last of my stuff in my car. Niall was coming with me, but Louis and Zayn were going back with Liam. It made less sense than Louis going back with me, seeing as we lived together, but nobody wanted to know what would happen if we were forced together for to long.
I walked back into the house and gave my mum a hug.
"I'm gonna miss you," I mumbled. She smiled and hugged me back.
"I'm proud of you. You're getting the opportunity of a lifetime, so if I don't see you soon, that's a good thing," she chuckled. I laughed.
"I'll try to visit whenever I can," I promised.
"You don't need to try. I can function by myself you know," she said.
"But it'll give Zayn an excuse to see Becca. He's got this huge crush on her, it's hilarious," I said.
"They would look good together," my mum said thoughtfully.
We said our last goodbyes, and then we left.
I soon discovered that Niall was really fun to drive with. I had slept most of the way coming home, but leaving was different because I was driving. Obviously, I couldn't sleep. He chattered almost non-stop. We turned on the radio and sang our lungs out. A One Direction song came on and we sang that also. Niall smiled.
"You're really, really good," he said.
"Thanks. But you're all so much better," I muttered. Yeah, I could sing, but I still couldn't see how I managed to be good enough to get One Direction to include me.
Niall rolled his eyes.
"Harry, please. If you weren't at least equal to us, then we wouldn't have even considered you. You're good, trust me," he said earnestly.
"Louis doesn't seem to think that," I mumbled.
"Really? You're caring about what Louis thinks? He's only heard you sing a few times; he can barely judge you by that. Plus it's a complete lie. The first time he heard you, his eyes went wide in this 'oh, shit this kid is good' way. It was funny," Niall said, "You know he's just pissed cause he isn't getting his way like he usually does."
I chuckled. "So he's acting like a toddler," I said.
Niall grinned. "Exactly! The whole temper tantrum and crying when he doesn't get what he want thing is exactly like a toddler," he laughed.
I knew I hated Louis, but I still kind of felt guilty about talking about him behind his back. So I changed the topic of conversation.
"Do you know what our schedule looks like?" I asked.
"That's a question to ask Liam. But I know we're talking to Uncle Simon in two days," Niall answered.
That made me nervous. I'd talked to Simon Cowell once before and it had gone fairly well, but he was still pretty intimidating.
