It has been days since Mrs Son got discharged from the hospital and now fully resting in their apartment room

It has also been days since Hangyul and Jaein shared that one moment, they both mutually cherished. And ever since that day it felt like they had a general agreement about the status between them; not yet that intimate to consider themselves officially back together but yet still too close to label them as just friends

They were at a blissful in between, slowly taking their time to build back a stronger foundation in their relationship. Yes, they weren't back together yet but they felt their love for each other; they felt like they belonged perfectly together. Everything just felt right at the moment

"Nuna!" Dongpyo exclaims, hands ramming to the door in a series of loud knocks, "Why are you taking so long? You're not going to get any prettier if you stay longer in the bath–"

Before he could even finish, the door flew open revealing a scowling Jaein. She brings a hand to pound on Dongpyo's head, "Shut up you gremli– o–oh hi Hangyul" she nervously chuckles once she sees Hangyul comfortably seated in their living room

"Sorry you had to see that Gyullie" Mrs Son came into view, giggling at the mess that is her children, a hand patting his shoulder "I should have warned you. Our Jaein is really that mean"

Jaein, ignoring her mother and brother attempting to destroy her image, mumbled incoherently while making her way to her room. Hangyul tagged quietly behind her, biting back a chuckle that's threatening to come out

"Why is our Jaein so mean to ppyodong?" closing the door behind him, Hangyul turns to face her, a smirk dancing on his lips

"Stop it" Jaein drawls out, grabbing whatever was nearest her and chucking it towards Hangyul –this case, her lipstick

Chuckling, Hangyul approaches her and sits down on her bed as he watches her scramble around in her room, "You ready to go?"

"I gotta put some make up to look at least presentable"

"You don't need it though" the latter muttered under his breath and when he looked up, his eyes reached her face which adorned a slight pout, "We're only going to the school festival"

"I wanted to look pretty"

He chuckles. It was cute, really. How she's gone from not having a care about how she looked to always wanting to look presentable. Maybe it was because she was always with him and she'd wanted to always look pretty for him; to which Hangyul's heart definitely buzzed with joy

"To who? Because to me you already look pretty"

He sees Jaein's cheeks turn to a light shade of pink, as she looked pretty flustered by his evident flirting and his heart swells even more. These days, he's been more open about his affection to the girl but every once in a while, the girl somehow still gets flustered by this and she'd always react so cutely that it renders Hangyul speechless

And honestly, Hangyul believes that one day Jaein's gonna cause him a heart attack

"Come here" he stops teasing her and motions for Jaein to come, patting the space in front of him. And she wordlessly obeys, sitting on her bed with her legs crossed, facing Hangyul

"What?"

The latter then uncovers the lipstick he had on his hands –the one she carelessly threw at him, and with one last sigh to calm his pounding heart, he leans closer to her as he tries his best to apply the red cosmetic to her lips

His eyes trails down from her eyes, which immediately fluttered close when he leaned, to her plump lips and he mindlessly gulps. And it seems as though he wasn't the only one still nervous about their close proximity, as Jaein began to wriggle underneath his gaze

"Stop squirming" he chuckles in amusement, looking at the blushing girl in front of him. When the latter failed to comply, Hangyul decided to hold her in place with his free hand softly grasping her nape and bringing her closer to him

This brought out a light gasp from the girl as her hands instinctively rested on his thigh, steadying herself from his grip

Once settled, Hangyul continues applying the lipstick for her and stealing chaste kisses here and there, every time he'd be unable to control the urge from staring at her lips for too long

"Stop it" Jaein manages to mutter in between his light pecks, "You're going to ruin the lipstick" a smile breaking from her lips as she tries to distance herself from the boy only to be brought back closer by his hand on her neck

This time around, Hangyul didn't pull back shortly after planting another kiss on Jaein's lips. Instead, his peck was discarded as did the lipstick on his hand, as he held the girl's cheek while he deepened the kiss

Hangyul tilts his head, trying to get in a better position and pulling himself closer to the girl. The kiss was sloppy and imperfect but to the both of them, it was just right

His lips erupted into a satisfied grin through the kiss as his heart erratically beat, happiness flowing through his entire body about how he's got his girl back in his arms despite everything that had happened

He is lucky to have her in his life, very lucky. What could he have done in his previous life to receive a girl like Jaein? Whatever it was, he was thankful he did because it granted him Jaein

Feeling himself a bit lightheaded, Hangyul pulled back despite his body craving more of Jaein's warmth. His eyes shifts open and meets with the flustered pair in front of him. The short make out session causing the girl flushed

Hangyul's attention trails down to her lips, now glossy and redder due to the kiss, and he just couldn't help but chuckle, "I think my kiss looks better on you than your lipstick"

an
another kissing session 🤭

on them building their relationship
again, since we already had enough frustrations
