//a little birthday present for taehyung's birthday 💜//
taehyung sat up on the bed, his eyes curiously on the calendar as he read the same exact numbers he always remembers. three zero. he hums as he smiles, remembering the day was important. it was his birthday. well, kind of. that's the day the people at the little shelter he once lived at. a happy place with all other hybrid's lived. he hums as he giggled a little. remembering the times whenever he had atleast almost 16 birthday parties.
-
he remembered one where he had invited all his friends to his party. that one was when he was 5. he was at the shelter, a giant whole cake that wrote. happy birthday taehyung. he just blew out his candles with glee and happiness. a few more years pass by and he was 12. he had packed up his bags and set off to his new owner.
his new owner hadn't celebrated his birthday not one bit. only his. everytime his owner was gone since every year they had something important to do on that day. taehyung would grab some money from his little stash of money he had at a little jar he had underneath the bed.he would open it for 3 consecutive years. just to grab a little money he had saved up from part time jobs he had. and any money he had found lying around the house, just to go into the bakery to buy himself a little cupcake and a candle, sticking the candle on the cupcake to blow it out and wish himself a happy birthday. even if, it was alone. but, when he was going to turn 16, he had walked outside the house but his owner had came early. meaning, he caught taehyung. his owner had gotten mad, hurt him and accused him of escaping. taehyung had begged his owner that he had only went out to buy himself a cupcake for his birthday. his owner hadn't listened to him, he just hurt him. he had took the money and just threw it all over the place. taehyung crying as he had tried to get the money. he would get slapped on the hand with each money he got, meaning he had dropped it.
-
that was the night he ran away. little to no money, little to no food. and just this clothes. he had clothes, that's it.
taehyung had let out a little tear as he remembered those days. the times where he had happy parties, but. mostly sad ones. he looked at the calendar and teared up. "may this be a better birthday." he mumbled, wiping his tears as he lies down on the bed, looking up at the cieling as he smiled a little. remembering the fun memories he had. he cuddled himself to sleep as he slept.
the next day, taehyung woke up to his whole room decorated in little banners that said happy birthday. yes, he had his own room. jeongguk had decided to gave him his own room and let him stay with him until he had found a nice place for taehyung to stay and have a stable life.
taehyung sat up as he looked down at the floor, confetti all around. he raised a eyebrow as he slowly got up, smiling as he had seen a bunch of little decorations spread around the floor. humming as jungkook barged in, his face covered with flour and a little of water, egg and some butter on his apron. "oh! your awake!" jeongguk said randomly. scratching the back of his head. looking around as he looked back at taehyung who was looking at him while giggling. "yeah," he stammered a little. "i overhead you saying you have your birthday on thirty..so, decided to make it special."
