Chapter 4

Will's POV

"I'm heading to the benches. I don't want to go into the pool yet." I say. "COME ON WILL!!!" They all say at the same time. "No I don't want to go in yet." I say. Mike grabs my wrist and pulls me with the others and says. "Your coming with us no matter WHAT!" He says happily. He removes his hand from my wrist and puts his hand into mine. 'Wait WHAT!!!' I thought. Mike was holding my hand!. But then I saw him holding hands with El. I immediately let go of his hand. I didn't want to be a 3rd wheeler. I walk behind everyone else to the point we're I can barely see them. I was looking down at the floor. It was wet but the water was warm. When we got to the 1 pool I look up and see a HUGE waterslide! A rush of fear and anxiety came down on me. Everyone looked at me and saw the fear in my eyes.

"Okay everyone this is a 2 person waterslide. So I'll go with El. Dustin can go with Lucas and Mike can go with Will." Max says eagerly. First up was Max and El. You could hear them screaming of excitement. They landed in the pool laughing. Next up was Dustin and Lucas. You could hear Dustin screaming. "WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" And Finally it was Me and Mike's turn. I looked at the waterslide. It was about 30ft tall. I looked at Mike he seemed excited. "M-Mike? I don't want to do this." I stutter. "Don't worry it will be fun."He said calmly." It was our turn now. I sat next to Mike and the life guard pushed us down. It was terrifying! I tried hold in the tears but mid way down the side I couldn't take it. I held onto Mike's arm for dear life! Mike looked at me and saw that I was holding on his arm. He could probably tell I was terrified. 'Why did I let Mike convince me to do this!' I thought. Mike took my hand of his arm and moved me behind him. "You can hold onto my waist." He said smiling. I held onto Mike until the slide was over. We hit the water and I started freaking out like a spaz and I accidentally opened my mouth and took in some of the water.
I started coughing like crazy.

"What happened to you? Are you okay?" El asked. "Y-yeah dont w-worry about it." I say. I was still scared from the slide so I went to go sit on the bench nearby. Mike came and sat next to me. "Hey Will. I'm sorry for making you go down that slide." He said. "Don't worry Mike..." I mumbled. "Let's go get something to eat." He said. I nodded and followed him.the rest of the part came with us to get food. We ordered 1 large pizza and shared it.

After we ate Lucas said. "Well we have to wait 30 minutes till we can go back in the water. So who's up for truth or dare!" We had played a couple times with El before. We went to a quiet area near the pool and started. "El truth or dare?"-Max "Um... truth."- El

"Out of all the party members which one is you favorite?"-Max. "You!" -El "Aww." - Max "Lucas. Truth or dare."-El "DARE!"- Lucas "I dare you to sing Material Girl." -El Then Lucas sang Material Girl. It was hilarious. The game went on and on. "Will. Truth or dare?"-Dustin "Dare?" " I dare you to kiss Mike."-Dustin. My face turned beet red in seconds.I looked at Mike and his face was red too. I looked at El. "Are you okay with this El?" " Yeah it's just a dare!"-El Mike got up and and sat next to me. I leaned in and kissed him. My face turned from light red to a crimson. "Oh wait I f-forgot something. I-I'll be right back." I say. It was an excuse. A flood of memories from the upside down and mind flayer came back. I went to the bathroom. "Byers! I know your in here." Tears started coming down my eyes. At that point. I just wanted to go home. I left the stall and passed Mike. I went to the chairs where we put our stuff. Mike found me again. "Byers?" He asked. I got up and tried to pass him again but he wouldn't let me.
