Chapter 3: Hunting Spree

Jungkook whimpered as he was shoved into the hunting room by his father.

After that, some of the other hunters entered the room and they all sat down as well as Jungkook, feeling his father's murderous gaze on him.

He dared not to mess up as he shivered when his father started talking.

"Today we will be hunting for humans, we will go past the border and hunt for more," his father's booming voice dominated the area.

"I expect the best from all of you," the elder vampire's voice deepened and he held a monotone expression, looking around at all the vampires in the room. His gaze finally landed on Jungkook.

"Especially you, son."

Jungkook gulped, understanding the hidden threat lying beneath the seemingly harmless words. He nodded once and looked stright ahead to try and avoid his father's gaze.

"Okay let's go."

Jungkook's father walked out the back door that led to the forest. Each vampire slowly followed one by one, evil grins on their faces as they planned their kill, talking to each other and laughing about it.

All of the vampires soon left the room with Jungkook's father behind them all to make sure that his son didn't stay behind. Due to young vampire's quiet and scared nature, it wasn't a surprise that Jungkook would want to stay inside.

"Split up into groups of three," Jeon commanded. "Come back here once you've captured a human."

The others nodded and Jungkook's father put him with two other vampires and they all ran off. Jungkook was feeling kind of antsy about being with the other vampires, as they were extremely loyal to his father and would report to him the instant Jungkook showed a sign of weakness.

"Hey. Let's split up."

One guy said this as he looked at Jungkook and the other guy.

"Sure, it would be more suitable for us."

The two vampires both ran in different directions.

Jungkook breathed in and out harshly, watching their fading figures get further and further away from him. He decided to run towards the border on his own.

As he went towards the border, he started to hear footsteps closely behind him, a pair that did not belong to him at all. Jungkook paused to catch his breath, looking around to see if he could find the culprit.

Suddenly, Jungkook was pinned to the ground on his back full of unhealed and fragile wounds, making him scream loudly in pain.

Fuck, my back...

Jungkook clamped his mouth shut, biting on his bottom lip as he clenched his teeth tightly and shut his eyes.

"Look what we have here." A rough voice muttered as he gripped the vampire's chin, warm fingers digging into his skin.

"A vampire crossed the border. Why are you here?"

Jungkook shook in fear as he opened his eyes, dazed at the sight in front of him.

It was a man with midnight black hair and sharp silver eyes, added on by a pair of red and plump lips. His gaze was murderous, and it was directed at the injured vampire.
