Nathan nuzzled into the other's neck, as the young couple was sitting on their comfy couch spending quality time together. "..I love you, too." Zoma replied to the gesture, smiling warmly and pulling the canine closer. It was the afternoon after they had both returned home from their crazy jobs out in Pawville, and they were glad to finally have some downtime.
The two lay sprawled out on the couch, nuzzling into each other's chests for what felt like hours. This was true love. They were in love, and didn't want to hide it. "Man," Nathan said, rolling more onto his back with what little room they had on the sofa. "I can't believe it's already been almost a year together."
"The best year of my life."
Zoma replied, playfully jumping on top of the other. Nathan chuckled, ruffling Zoma's hair. "Well I guess we can agree on something." Zoma giggled. Nathan checked the time on the clock they had as a centerpiece to the small room. "It's 3:30. Hey.. want to go get smoothies?" Nathan cocked his head, referring to the friendly parrot that always sold fruit smoothies at the local park every Wednesday afternoon. She was also one of Zoma's students.
Zoma excitedly jumped up from the couch and off of Nathan, smiling brightly. "Yeah, sounds fun!" Nathan always helped him recharge. The other smiled and got up as well. And so, the young couple went out into the wilds of Pawville once more, smiling faces everywhere they looked. The sun was comfortably warm on their fur, and the environment was pleasant. At last, they arrived at the stand in the colorful park, being greeted with a familiar smiling face.
"Hey Mister Zoma and Mister Nathan! What would you guys like today?" She cocked her head, her feathers gleaming in the sunlight. "A mango smoothie for me, please."
"And a strawberry for me." Said Nathan, smiling with Zoma. "Great! That'll be $5."
Nathan nodded bringing out his wallet to pay, soon to find that Zoma had already handled it. He snickered, "Awh, don't get all angry now.~" Nathan grumbled but said nothing, retrieving the smoothies from the kind parrot and thanking her. And so, the two decided to take a short walk in the park, talking and drinking their smoothies as they did so.
They wrapped their arms around each other as they walked, pretty much melting into relaxation at each other's touch, especially with the warm sun above them. The love felt so, so sweet to them, almost overwhelming, like a cold fruit smoothie. They enjoyed the presence of each other, and felt connected on a spiritual level.
"I love you.." Zoma said whilst resting his head on the canine's shoulder. "And I love you too, Zoma."
And so, the young couple trotted home to cuddle and play video games, finally getting in their quality time.
