"Life's a bitch but God forbid the bitch divorce me I'll be flooded with ice so hell fire can't scorch me"
Nasir sat in his kitchen getting his facial hair trimmed up for the show for the night. A bright light shining onto his face so Lex could see exactly what he was doing.

Margo spoke to him via Facetime on his Macbook laptop. "Sean is really pushing for an album this year." Nas rolled his eyes, "It's always about the albums with you people." She side eyed him, "I am only the messenger; he complains and I advise." She returned her eyes back to the computer screen.

"I don't wanna be rushed to put out an album, I did that with Nastradamus and we all know how that turned out." The album Nastradamus was not received well, it was the lowest liked album he had made to date. He rushed it putting it out the same year as the I Am.. album both received mixed reviews, the latter being flat out hated. Margo turned her attention to him, "You are a seasoned veteran; a professional. I've saw you write a verse for Live At The Barbecue in fifteen minutes. That punch line will forever be iconic in Hip Hop's history." She paused for him to feel her words, "We don't need to wait almost 5 years for an album. Although Illmatic is legendary, we have money to make. We're not going that route again."
Nasir laughed causing Lex to stop and pull back some, "It was 2 years, I just wanted it to be perfect." She puckered up her lips, "You had me calling everybody to find you, I thought you took the advance and left town." Margo had met Nas through MC Serch, she was a newly appointed A&R at Columbia records. She was looking for new talent and she stumbled upon a mixtape given to her by Serch. After hearing Nas rhyme she contacted Serch to have him come to the office. She signed him that very same day. She was the only person who believed in him, his loyalty was so strong to her after they were both let go for low album sales he followed her to Def Jam where his next album went double platinum in the first week.
She had been with him since the beginning, she understood his struggles. She saw him fall down twice and get back up three times, she was his guardian angel. "Naaah, I just wanted perfection." She smiled and placed her hands under her chin, "And you created perfection." Lex nodded and hummed in appreciation causing both of them to laugh at his input . "I expect to hear something by next week." He looked her over, she wore a grey v neck shirt and her curly hair was a mess, sticking up in every direction. "You comin' to the concert like that?" He asked her smartly. Jungle walked over and turned the laptop to him to get a look at what his brother was complaining about now.
