Ashton runs a hand through his messy hair. "Well, this is awkward." He chuckles.

He glances at the girl who has her legs wrapped around his torso and quickly grabs her by her hips. Then he effortlessly picks her up and sets her down on the mattress next to him, causing her to gasp and quickly cover her bare chest with her arms.

"Are you serious?" She demands through clenched teeth.

He glances at her sheepishly and shrugs. "Sorry."

Next, Ashton turns to look at me. He gives me a lopsided grin and I stare back at him in shock, slowly shaking my head. I blink a few times as my eyes adjust to the darkness of the room and clear my throat. My eyes flicker between him and the French girl as I speak.

"I-I didn't know you were back." I stammer.

She snaps her head towards my direction and narrows her eyes, giving me a perfect view of her features. As I assess her, I feel my stomach clench and a bitter taste enter my mouth. She's beautiful.

Her hair is long and wavy, her lips are full and her eyes are bright, surrounded by long lashes. She could be a model. In comparison to her, I'm no better than a sack of potatoes.

An unexpected sadness fills my insides and I break eye contact with her. No wonder Ashton's with this girl.

My gaze shifts back to his face and I see that the grin on his lips has switched to his usual, confident smirk.

"I'd never miss a good party." He shrugs at me. Then he raises an eyebrow. "Did you miss me while I was gone?"

Just then the girl who used to be on top of him, clears her throat. "Sorrry to interrupt," she starts sarcastically. "But the two of you can talk another time, no? Ashton and I are currently in the middle of something and you and your friend are, how do you say, holding us up from it."

Ashton rolls his eyes and I look between the both of them again. The thought of what they were about to do before I came in slowly registers in my brain and I crinkle my nose in disgust.

"Right, gross. Um," I look at Zayn and we both unanimously turn at the same time to leave out the door. "We'll just be going then." I say. "Sorry again."

"Wait," Ashton says quickly, making everyone in the room stare at him in confusion. "Didn't you say something about a bathroom?" I nod and he points to a door located on the right side of the queen sized bed. "There's one right there, if you need it."

I raise my eyebrows in surprise. "Oh. Thanks." I turn to Zayn and he gives me an expression that shows how uncomfortable he feels being here.

"I'll just, um, be waiting in the hallway, alright?" He asks.

I give him an apologetic smile and nod. "Okay."

I quickly make my way towards the lavatory, and purposefully keep my eyes down, trying to ignore the icy daggers being thrown my way from Ashton's "friend".

After I'm done finally handling my business and am just about to wash my hands, I hear bickering coming from inside of the bedroom. It's Ashton and the girl. I turn off the faucet water and lean closer to the door, trying to eavesdrop on what they're saying.

"I cannot believe you were having a conversation with that girl right before we were about to have sex!" She complains in a whiny voice.

"Could you be any louder? She can probably hear us." Ashton snaps.

"I don't care if she can hear us!"

"Jesus, Gwen. Look, I wasn't just going to ignore her and force her to leave-- she's my friend."
