Chapter 1 - The Starting
No one knew what was happening. Cars, trucks, motorbikes, everything slammed into one another. Some spun off the roads and into reservoirs, trying to avoid any crashed if possible, into tree's and people who just happen to be taking a walk for what ever reason.
mma, one of the many people who knew what was to come at this point, ran to a far corner in a store. She spotted her one of her many best friend Dallas there as well. The pair turned back to back, pulling out a pocket knife and flipping it open - along with a gun. "Emma, you have to run and get home."
"I'm not leaving you Dallas, I know what I'm doing. Trust me. I can survive this." Emma knew how to survive this. It was simple really. If you have ever seen a zombie show or movie, you'd know what to do. Emma was a big fan of that type of stuff - gory, action, death, things like that. So of course, one of the most famous T.V. Shows and comics she would love. The Walking Dead. It had basically told and showed you what to do and how to survive.
A herd, maybe about twenty or so of them, came towards them. One of the 'Walkers' Emma had noticed still had fresh flesh hanging from her mouth. Her teeth were covered with blood, some of the blood even dripping down her chin and onto the floor and herself. She also had a deathly shade of pale with hints of browns and purples one her cheeks and eye's, hallowing them to make the cheek bones pop out more. Her hair, a light blonde fading into blue looked dirtied and greased. The eye's are what seemed to give off the effect of having her look scarier than she really was a light cream yellow color. Her right ankle was twisted, making her look like she had been dead for a while now and have fallen one something causing her twist it. She just limped over to where they were. Emma stood with the knife in her front pocket, it slightly hanging out to make it easier access when she needed it. Her hands gripped the gun, ready to shoot and fire. The one who Emma had previously been observing came towards her. Emma took her knife out, not wanting to waist bullets before she even got close to home. The knife was plunged into the dead woman's head and Emma yanked it out, blood flying everywhere and the body falling limp on the group. More came towards her and Dallas.
Dallas was shooting while Emma was killing them with a knife, but it soon came to a point where Dallas had screamed in agony. Emma snapped her head towards her best friend. Right when Emma turned her head, she saw a walker taking a big chunk out of Dallas's shoulder. Emma shot the Walker in it's head, shooting what ever ones where coming near her. Dallas's hand covered his wound, holding it there firmly, not wanting a whole lot of blood to pour out.
"Dallas.." Emma spoke her voice low. Emma brought her hand up to the wound, only to have Dallas swat it away. Both got in Dallas's car, Emma knowing ever route to her house possible. She takes the road that hardly any body goes on at this hour and drives home. In about a couple of minutes, they arrive and Emma's and see Jessie and Faith sitting in Jessie's car, waiting for her to get home. Faith looked up, seeing Emma unlocking the door. The two got out of the car and rushed to the front entrance of Emma's house. The four got in quickly as a few Walkers were nearing them. Just as the door shut, the Walkers had gotten to the door. Emma and Faith struggled to get the door closed. The Walkers were stronger than they had looked.
They pushed the door closed after about a minute and went to Dallas's side. Jessie had her head in her hands, silently crying because she knew what was coming next. There was no use in taking Dallas's arm of, the virus was already in his system, so Emma thought. "You guy's need to stay safe." Dallas speaks softly, not daring to make eye contact with any of the girls. "Stay together."
"Dallas, you can't leave." Jessie looks up at Dallas, a single tear slipping from her green eye's and down her check. "Please." Dallas had been all their friend for as long as they remember. Emma had thought that Dallas looked like Jackson from Son's of Anarchy in every little way possible. Recently, she had just figured out that not even that long ago, maybe a few months back, that Jessie and Dallas had liked each other for a while and decided to hook up. And that was the main reason as to why Jessie was upset, her boyfriend was leaving her. He was leaving all of them and to them, it wasn't okay. Emma she was just upset and being strong, meaning she didn't want to show the tears or anything. Faith on the other hand, was doing a little bit of both. She had tears prickle in her eye's, but not letting any of them fall.
