+ BROOKLYN— APRILTHE MORNING CAME WAY FASTER THEN EXPECTED and at 9 on the dot Muffy heard her mother's weekend routined scream "RISE IN SHINE LADIES" causing the three of the girls all to groan.
Muffy stood up to her full 5'5 height and made her way to the busy kitchen where 3 of her siblings sat eating bowls of cereal.
4 girls and 4 boys was the total amount of kids Phara had, Muffy's mother.
And out of all the names Muffy couldn't seem to understand why her mother named her Booron; even her older brother had a normal name— Israel.
"Good morning peep squeaks" Muffy said while grabbing two waffles from out of the pack and into the toaster. She watched as her mother and grandmother walked into the room; her grandma more so limping while Phara stood behind helping her sit into the wooden chair.
"What do you say to grandma, kids?" Phara said looking down at her younger kids and then at Muffy who stood over the countertop sipping on tea.
"Bonjou granmé Esther" they spoke in sync making Esther simply give off a toothless grin.
Muffy saw as her mother craned her neck looking at yet another bill to her name, it's like her waitress job wasn't helping with anything in she knew exactly what she had to do to keep her kids, and older mother in a warm home, she wasn't proud but it had to happen.
Phara was beautiful— nice darkskin— thick lips— big doe eyes— a shapely body, basically where Muffy got her's. She just made dumb decisions that her eldest daughter couldn't stand at times— Muffy knew that her mother was just as smart as her in high school and could've went to college and aced a good job.
But, she got stuck with a no good nigga who looked as if he cared about her but as soon as Israel dropped out her belly he left Phara for dead. He waited a few years to come back in do more damage and had Booron.
