Winds barrel the way I've stepped and I sway along with them. I snap my double eyelids closed, shielding my sensitive eyes. Pride fills me when I don't fall over.

Fear is close behind. As I try to push back toward the caves, the chaotic Winds push me farther away. The warm buzz of my Soul Wind fills me and I regain some control, but not enough. My body is slowly shoved closer and closer to the cliff edge. With each steady push forward my thoughts grow more frantic.

Calm down! Calm down. . .

I flick my eyes around, looking for anything to grab. Nothing but ill lit weeds and rocks surround me. Sight wont help me with this. My hair flings about and message upon message seeps into my brain.

Just have to find one that tells me which way I should move.

Keeping my feet moving back and my body shoving against the Winds, I close my eyes and send my thoughts speeding through my hairs findings of the Winds whereabouts.

Large Wind coming-

Little Winds spiral through-

-Add on to big Wind

I peak open my eyes to see my feet inches from going over the cliff edge. Squeezing my lids closed, I suck in a deep breath. Folding back, I tune into myself.

Bouncy Winds over-

To the left, spiral of-

- Right has Winds slowing-

My eyes dart open at the warning.

Winds slowing to the right!

I fling myself in that direction, but a wash of air below pushes my footing out. With a yelp my body jerks left; but my Soul Wind burns and I begin to sink down. I reach out to paw at the ground, readying myself to try and swing right again.

Come on Feay-

Cold sweat whips away with the powerful Winds. My breath panics and purple spots speckle my vision.

Come on-

Suddenly the Winds flick away. I gasp and fall to my elbows, my knees landing hard. My body vibrates and I slowly raise my head to look at the cliff edge.

I flick my tongue to wet my dry mouth. My lungs splutter and I suck in air as I glance around. Little whisks of Wind flick by. They confuse me. From them I know that the large gusts of Winds are still around me. My lips purse.

That can only mean. . .

I glance up and search the dark sky. A purple glow with a darker object in between grabs my attention. Relief and dread fills me. Whoever it is, I can feel the scolding sure to come. I fold my lips between my teeth, my cheeks beginning to burn.

"You're an absolute idiot!" The feminine voice is familiar and a sigh runs through me as I raise to my knees. As she nears her long black hair and soft features become more clear. She wears a red, cropped shirt and colorful shorts.

She glides with her purple Soul Wind streaming out her back; her movements similar to the grace of the Kaun birds. The only difference is that she is smooth with no feathers. Her Soul Wind, wide like wings, shows her skill. She swims towards me, beating back the worst of the Winds with her Wind Speech. Her mind and soul are her feathers.

"Did you even think about what you were doing?" Her harsh words bounce me back to her angry features.

"No, How could you not?! God knowing, of course you did! I should have known you'd choose the idiotic path anyway!" Hessa Sordrah, my best friend since she smashed her fist into one of my bullies as a kid, talks away with her usual gusto.
