Joey's POV :
I'm so tired of all the dramas in LA. Boyfriends, Girlfriends or even Friends drama. it's just too much to handle. After a few hours of thinking, i've finally decided to book a flight to St. Cruz, my hometown. I flew for approximately 1 hour.
After landed, i called my mom to tell her that i'm home. She said that she was doing some errands, but what i'm excited about is when she told me that there's a new family member in the house. Her name is Kaylee, She's a student in University of Californa Santa Cruz. Which means she's pretty smart.
As i was on my Uber. I was imagining what she looks like. Is she going to be blonde? She better be blonde. I thought to myself. Where is her hometown? What does she look like? I can't wait to finally meet her.
After 30 minutes drive, I've arrived at my house. I go to my room and leave all my bags in my room. I got to the room next to mine and see Scott unpacking some stuff.
"Hey man" i said and hug him
"you're home! what is this, mom never tells me shit. I didn't even know that there's going to be a homestay guest in our house" he said while pouting his lips
"haha. So you met her?" i said
"BROOOOoo. honestly, this might sound disrespectful and creepy but i'd tap her. she's really cute and all and she's so kind." he said
"but you just met her!" i said, confused
"okay so she's apparently Asian (no racist, ok before anyone said anything i always read books that the main leads are white so i decided to switch things up a little bit)" he said but then i cut him off
"wait she is? i thought she's just some basic white girl haha" i said in the joking tone
"nah bro. see, she isn't like any other girls" he said
"wait where is she now?" i said while looking around
"sis took her" he said and roll his eyes
"ughhh sis" i said and take out my phone to call sis (Sophia). i told her to come back home because i'm here.
"they're on their way here" i said
"by the way bro, nice try" i said while laughing
he realized what i meant and follow me to the living room, leaving Kaylee's room behind.
not long after the phone call, the front door opened. There she was. She was quite short compared to me which make her even cuter. Scott's right, she's really pretty. Her vibe while she was laughing with sophia while opening the door lights up the whole house. I stared at her for a while then decided to come up to her and say
"You must be Kaylee" i said while giving my hand for a handshake
She blushed a little bit, which is cute and reply my handshake while smiling to me.
"i'm Joey, Joey Birlem" i said
That's the moment when i realise. I want her.
