A few hours later he cornered Rachet in his medical bay. Having to inform the humans they worked with about Hope as well as explain this morning's ruckus took longer than he expected. Now he waited for Ratchet to finish cleaning up to discuss his newest puzzle.
"What has got your gears in a grind Optimus? You're wearing a track in my office with your pacing."
Optimus forced himself to stop and look at Ratchet.
"Is it possible for humans to bond with Cybertronians?"
Taken back by his question, Ratchet could only sputter.
"Bond? Like a spark mate bond? I seriously doubt it but why do you ask...?"
His voice dropped off before exploding. "You fell in love with a human?! Are you out of your mind circuits?!"
Holding up his servos to the angry doctor, Optimus motioned for him to calm down.
"Not a spark mate bond, a family or parental bond. More precisely, between the twins and Ms. Hope."
As Ratchet calmed down, he explained this morning's episode and how Hope had experienced unexplained emotions, her reaction to Sunstreakers anger and the fact the twins had claimed her as their sister. The doctor listened quietly before venturing an opinion.
"Perhaps when Ms. Hope retrieved Sunstreaker from the All Spark, a part of his spark embedded in her as well resulting in a spark bond. Then when the twins agreed to protect her, it strengthened into a sibling bond. There is much we don't know about Ms. Hope especially since she is unique to other humans herself."
"Then it is best that all of us keep an optic on Ms. Hope as well. Primus may have a greater plan for her gifts then we are aware of for the moment."
"Very well Optimus, very well."
