The voice came from a young woman, maybe around the age of 20. She had pink and black hair and looked as if she had decorated her uniform with purple accents.
"How did I do what?"
Hope was confused to say the least. One minute she was learning about Cybertron and the next all the bots were staring at nothing like they had seen a ghost.
"You know, make that glowing image." The woman stood there with her hands on her hips and a expectant look on her face.
By now the bots were coming out of their stunned silence and had turned their attention towards the conversation. Hope slowly sank down into Sideswipe's servo in an attempt to hide. She always hated when people stared at her. Why wouldn't this woman stop talking and go away, she thought in irritation.
As if he had read her mind, Sunstreaker frowned at the other female. "Slag it Miko. Don't you ever stop talking?"
"Nope!" She responded almost cheerily. "Not when I want some answers."
Sunstreaker moved as if to swat at Miko but a large green servo stopped him.
"Hi Bulkhead" the woman chirped. "Great timing as usual."
The large green mech groaned with almost parental exasperation. Hope actually felt bad for him. Miko had a very tiring personality. She was exhausted just listening to her.
"I see you met Miko" another voice spoke up as a young man probably a few years older walked up.
"I'm Jack and you must be Hope. This is Arcee, my partner and guardian."
Jack was accompanied by a femme bot who was small and slimmer then the Male bots but looked just as deadly.
"You'll find that Miko tends to talk before she thinks. It can be a bit overwhelming until you get used to it."
Hope had to laugh at the indignant "hey!" Miko gave before being shushed by Bulkhead.
"It's nice to meet another human. I admit to being a loner but I was starting to feel out numbered." Her smile softened her words but a trace of humor remained.
"Do you want a tour of the base?" Jack started to offer his hand to Hope when he was cut off by Sunstreaker.
"No need fleshie, we can handle it" he shot back over his shoulder before scooping Hope out of Sideswipe's servo and starting to March off.
"Sunstreaker that was rude!" Sputtered Hope. "Put me down this instant!"
Sunstreaker simply ignored her protests and continued walking. Sides shot the rest of the group an apologetic look and hurried after them.
Reaching their berthroom, Hope was dumped on her nest. "Get some more sleep, you look tired."
"Tired?! Oh yes, I'm tired. Tired of you pushing me around!"
With that statement, Hope attempted to fly up out of reach but was stopped by Sunny's servo. Fuming, she evaded his servo only to be caught like bird in hand. She sent a mental growl in his direction but finally sat down on his servo and waited.
As Sunstreaker removed one servo, she glared up at both of the mechs.
"Calm yourself femme, we're only trying to protect you."
"Protect me? From who? Your fellow Autobots? Ugh! All they were doing was talking to me!"
Shooting to her feet, she started pacing on Sunny's servo. The two mechs watched her for a while and talked through the bond.
"Slag Sunny, you've really pissed her off this time"
"It's not my fault she's so stubborn about being protected."
"Well you didnt have to tear her away from the humans."
"What? We're not good enough for her?"
"Pit Sunny, that's not what I meant. It's fine if she has friends."
"Will you two stop talking about me like I'm not here?!" Hope snapped at them. " Stop treating me like I'm a baby!"
Both mechs jaws dropped in shock. " You could hear us?"
"Well of course I could. You weren't exactly being quiet."
"But we were talking through our bond..." Without another word, Sunstreaker had scooped Hope up once again and transformed into a car with Hope in the driver's seat.
