The Scary Stories
As Stella and Ramón made it back to her house; she made supper and watched her dad sleep.
Ramón ended up crashing down her basement. She was finally having these feelings she never knew she had with the new kid Ramón.
Once Ramón was settled downstairs she flopped in her bed; on her stomach pulling out the Bellows Book she was supposed to leave at that house but it was too cool to pass up. And she stole it but Stella called it borrowing... it's fine she'd give it back the next morning nobody would know that it was "borrowed." So she thought...Stella grabbed a tootsie roll and popped it in her mouth as she flipped through the pages in the book. Stories that she read as a kid appeared. High beams to Footsteps. "Woah! this book is cool!"
She reached for her walkie and signaled Chuck and Auggie but they must've been asleep since they didn't have a signal. "Jerks!"
Eh she'll just show them in the morning, no biggie. She thought as she laid the book on her nightstand; shutting off all the lights, drifting off to a deep sleep. Hoping she'd finally have a good dream.
Stella was dreaming about Ramón, and only him.-Later-
"I can't believe you vandalized that Car!"
Ruth said. Her head was tucked under Tommy's chin, her arm draped over his chest.
Tommy started lightly tracing his finger down Ruth's stomach. "I guess I should apologize." He whispered.
She sighed; now how could she not stay mad at him now? "For being a shitty boyfriend." He whispered. "I was an ass tonight,"
"You were mad." She whispered. "But killing those kids wouldn't have fixed your Pontiac would it?" She asked, voice cracking into a tiny whisper.
"I guess not." He whispered. "But it felt right at the time, I'll admit." He said with a toothy grin.
"Hm......maybe Chuckie was right about us." Ruth responded, nervously laughing.
"Shut up!" Tommy said. "Just kiss me already!" He grumbled while pulling Ruth close to him.
Ruth wrapped her arms around Tommy's neck and leaned into a kiss. His arms wrapped around her as well, pulling her more into his lap.
A rapping on her door made them both jump a mile.
Chuck, of course was leaning against the doorframe grinning like a moron.
"One hell of a kiss you guys, really." He laughed and let himself inside; plopping down on her bed.
"Can't you see we were having a moment!" Ruth yelled! "What could you possibly want chuck?"
Soon chuck's attitude changed to something different and Ruth immediately changed her own tone. "Aw, Charlie? What's wrong?" She asked, feeling bad for snapping at him like how she always did. "Can we talk? Just us Ruthie?" He asked, slightly trembling. Ruth looked at tommy who was annoyed as he grumbled and slips on his jacket and waited outside her bedroom.
"What's wrong?" She asked, pulling him in a comforting Embrace.
"W-when we were hiding from Tommy, there was this room.." he said, slightly trembling.
"Yeah?" She said.
"In the Bellows House, when I was hiding from tommy, the room was old Ruthie. I mean new. Perfect, like when the Bellows lived there, and I saw this old lady, and this dog, and they were just staring at me with this look......" he shutters.
"Aw Chuckie, it was probably just Stella just trying you scare you and Auggie." She said. "Now head up to bed Chuckie, you've got school and I have rehearsals for my musical." She says with smile.
Chuck was gonna tell her she's wrong but he never even thought that Stella would try and scare them; since it was Halloween after all.
How could Chuck Steinburg be so blind? of course it's a prank Stella is just messing with him and Auggie. "there's no such thing as Sarah Bellows."
So they thought..........
