Clark felt bad for asking.  If he did something bad he was going to take all the help he can get.

They were leaving Addison's house and a rush of cold hit his face.  He shivered.  "Where are we going?"  He hesitantly asked Addison.  Clark could sense Addison wasn't good with questions and didn't want to upset her.

"Um... I guess we should go to your house so you can get clothes, but the police might be looking for you, so we'll have to go through your window if no one's in there."  Clark almost fell over when he heard police.  He swallowed and took a deep breath.

"What have I done?"  He whispered.

••

Addison looked over.  Clark had gone pale.  She was going to tell him, he was already worried.  "Okay, Clark."  She said and he looked over.  "You're going to tell me?"  Addi nodded, "You have to promise to stay calm."  She held out her pinky and Clark took his and twisted them together.  "Promise."

"My ex, you know Ian?"  He nodded taking a deep breath.  "He got jealous because we were talking at lunch and you and him kind of got into a fight.."  Addison could tell Clark was freaking out on the inside, but he was doing a good job of remaining calm.  "When he punched you, you blacked out and flames started coming out of your hands."  She whispered the last, but Clark heard her.

••

Clark stopped walking and looked at the ground.  "Calm,"  He told himself and looked at Addison.  Clark took a deep breath.  "I hate to ask, but .. why did you help me?"  He was so confused about why she left her life for a freak.  Someone who never had friends, never talked.  He was weird and she was going to run away and with him and risk her life.  They had never even met until today.

••

Addison didn't know if she trusted Clark with the knowledge of her powers.  She knew about him and they were the same, but it was so hard for her to even say it out loud- she never had to.  She never expected to be in this situation, but she wanted to enjoy not being the only one.  Addison wanted to know how he learned to control them- if he could, how long he has them.  Joke about their powers because it was just them.

"I'm like you."  She said with her head down.  Clark looked confused, "What do you mean?"  Addison took a deep breath.  "I have.. powers."  She looked up at Clark.  His eyeballs looked like they were going to pop out the socket.

Addison laughed.

••

Clark laughed with her.  He couldn't even find what was funny about the situation but just seeing Addison laugh made him laugh.  When they calmed down Clark came to reality- he wasn't alone.  "Wait.." He said. "You control fire too?"

"Water."  She said.  Clark thought that was the coolest thing ever and they stood at the corner of the street talking about the strengths and weaknesses of their powers.  It was like a whole new world for Clark.  He didn't know much about his power and it was good to know she didn't either.  The difference with him though is he was afraid of his.  Look what he did earlier, he figured if he pretended they weren't there that they would go away, but it was the opposite.  The more he ignored them the stronger they got.

when they get to clarks house

"Which window is yours?" Addison whispers as they sneak through the trees.  There were police patrolling the street- waiting for him to come home.  He pointed to the only window at the back.  "I'll look and make sure no one is in there and signal for you to come if it's safe."  Clark nodded and Addison walked to his window.  She peeked through and looked at his room, it was pretty plain not much for him to take.  She signaled for him to come forward.
