NOVAS POV
Today is the first day of school. I am honestly so excited that means new people, and new people means new hearts to break. I know that, that sounds bad but it just instinct now that I should break guys hearts and leave them scarred.
I am looking cute as usual. I don't want to dress to nice and then they expect me to be like that all the time like hell to the no. I am driving to school and I am scared, I always get nervous when the first day of School comes. But, I know I will be fine the guys should be scared.
I pull up to school and my usual parking spot is taking by a guy in a jeep. Who turns out to be none other than Liam himself.
"Hey there." He waves at me and smiles at me as if he didn't just take my parking spot.
"Hi, aren't you the new guy here." He laughs a little at my question.
"That would be me. Am I that beautiful that I cause a traffic hold up?" He is right, the whole parking lot is waiting on me, and I am waiting on Liam.
"Look new guy," I mock him in sarcasm. " This is my Parking spot and I don't exactly fancy the fact that you took my parking spot, so if you would Kindly just move your vehicle I would greatly appreciate that." He gives me the once over and laughs.
"Sorry nugget, I don't move for anyone." He walks closer to my car. "And I certainly don't take orders from a pretty girl like yourself, that is because I would be driving you to school. So let me make this easy you should give me your number so I can pick you up tomorrow." I gasp at his rudeness and his mocking of me being a woman.
I throw my middle finger in his face, roll my window up and drive right past him. Upset at his stupid boy ways, and the fact that his car is still in my place.
I get into the school and navigate into my English class feeling good about the first day, even through the incident.
"psst." I turn around to be faced with none other than the stupid idiot of a man himself: Liam.
"uggh can you not just leave me alone for once, I think its quite clear that I don't want your attention." I convinced myself to pass him on to Laura because of his hurtful words and actions.
"Awww come on nugget, did I mess up that bad?" I turn around frustration quite clear on my face.
"For one thing, I am not your nugget so call me that again if you want to get punched in the face and two, you are the rudest guy I have met so yeah you did mess up that bad, next time you want to downsize a girl, make sure it's not me." His face is one of clear shock as I tell him off and continue doing what I was doing before.
---LIAM POV---
Nova is not as easy to charm like all the rest of the girls, it's like she see's right through my game. I watch as she sits and actually pays attention to what the teacher is saying, then I realize that if she is smart at school then maybe I can get a tutor.
"Mr.McCarthy can you tell the class what your thoughts are on Romeo and Juliet." I freeze and think shoot. I didn't of course read the book like I was supposed to.
"Well you see, if he just had avoided her and just left her alone none of that would have happened. By trying to be with her was his down fall...I think this book shows perfectly clear why love is weak." Nova turns around in her seat and raises her hand.
"I don't think love is weak, I think it was showing a love worth dying for....I think it shows that people could be vulnerable without being hurt. That is rare to find today." Nova likes love. Interesting.
"Well, don't you think they would be better off if they didn't happen and could just have admired each other from afar." Nova shoots me an annoyed look.
"Maybe for some people it's okay to love someone from afar but I think it's better to love someone for real and in person not a stalkerish, weird way." I smirk she's a hopeless romantic.
"Yeah, but that is the way a hopeless romantic would react and well that is quite boring, and well just down right naive. Why would you give your all to someone who could hurt you in the end or make you die."
"You give your all to someone knowing they could hurt you because that's love, a love worth trusting, dying, and being naive for...because love isn't perfect but you trust that person because they are different than anyone you have ever met." I give her a look of amusement .
"Alright you two that's enough fighting in class for once, this was a good discussion but it needs to stay a discussion, also miss Laurent I loved your inside look on love." The teacher goes on with her lecture.
But Nova just sits there not caring as she listens in on the lecture and engages in casual conversation with the girl around her. I don't understand how one girl can be so naive. She is so drowned in love and sucked into the idea that love above everything else is life.
Maybe that is how I can win her heart, I just become so drowned into the rom-com world that she has no choice but to fall madly in love with me. Then giving me the chance to break her heart, and leave with no explanation just go and never look back.
"Hey" I whisper over to her. She looks back at me and then rolls her eyes at me.
"Please tell me that you aren't trying to make a conversation." I sigh and stare in her eyes, she begins to nervously look away and flip me off in the process.
"I don't think that is how a lady should act, now is it?" She gasps and turns around. "Listen here Liam, I don't know how they did things back where you came from but all I know is that you need to stop being a dumb ass and pay attention to your own work."
I smile in knowing that my cliche bad boy title is beginning to work out alright.
