Player 101

Chapter three- Do over?

Nova 

After school I could not fathom the fact that Liam was such a horrible human, even worse than I thought. I walk over to my car and there is a note on it. 

I'm sorry for being quite rude thought I might be liked by you if I did, do over? 

Liam left me a note on my car he wants a do over, I can't believe he wants forgiveness from me when he was nothing but rude. How can he be so...forgetful. 

"What's wrong?" I turn around and my boy best friend Ethan is standing right behind me.

"Nothing just the new guy, he is definitely a character alright." Ethan laughs and gets in the passenger side of my car. 

"Liam he is actually a really cool guy, and will you please give me a ride home?" I sigh, everyone is under Liam's charm spell except for me that is. 

"Fine, but you have to buy me coffee before I take you home."

Liam 

I walk over to my car, and peak a look over at Nova to see her talking to a guy. I remember him from my physiology class. I need to remember to get some information about Nova from him tomorrow he could be the one who could potential set us up. 

"Hey Liam" I look over at some girl, she is pretty with blonde hair pretty green eyes. 

"Hey" She smiles, not noticing that I don't know her name.

"I don't know if you remember me from our history class, but my name is Jane and I would love to get your number and well get to know each other." I look over at Nova's car she drives out of the parking lot with Ethan. 

I have a strong urge to follow her.

"Hey I got to go but, I'll tell you what how about you give me your number in history tomorrow and we can set up a date time." Jane's smile grows wickedly evil as she walks away. 

"see you then, Liam" deep down inside of my bones I know something is off by the way she smiled and walked off but I am too busy trying to catch up to Nova. 

They stopped at a coffee place, Do I really want to crash their coffee time? who am I kidding of course I want to. 

I walk into Rachel's coffee house, and I instantly get hit with a breath of coffee. It's kind of refreshing and amazing smelling. Sitting down is Nova with Ethan, they are laughing talking about something over coffee. I wish I could ease my way in there easily but I don't think me and Nova are exactly in speaking terms. 

I get a Carmel iced frappe, I don't know what all these coffee terms mean but I hope it is good because I am gonna be here a while. 

Ethan gets up and gets his drink and then looks over and notices me, "Hey Liam was it, I didn't know you knew about Rachels." I laugh trying to play it off. 

"Yeah I have been driving around and it seemed like a good place to check out. Although I didn't know what to get so hopefully I picked something good." He laughs

"Anything and everything on the menu is good depending on what you like to drink or eat." I laugh and thank him as I get my drink and about to sit at a different table. "Hey hey hey, wait a minute come sit with me and Nova." I look over at the table that Nova is sitting at and she looks mad. 

"Sure, but I don't think that Nova will like that." He laughs a bit and we sit down at the table all three of us.

Nova 

Ethan is one of those people who is super nice that you can't help but be friends with him, but he is also too nice that people start to take advantage of him. 

In this current situation the problem isn't Ethan getting taken advantage of, but that he is now being too nice to someone who doesn't deserve his ounce of kindness. 

"Nova is quite the fiery type in English." I focus my attention away from Liam. 

"I am passionate what's wrong with that" Ethan gives me a look I know all too well, its the 'stop being a bitch' look. 

"I didn't say there was anything wrong with it, Its a compliment actually" I look over at Liam shocked that he....complimented me in the weirdest possible way. 

"Umm...thanks" Ethan continues the conversation leaving no breaks for awkward moments. 

After Liam and Ethan finish their conversation on I don't even know, we all finish our drinks and head our own ways. 

"Nova please tell me you are giving me a ride home now" 

"Ethan I already told you that I was giving you a ride home, hop in loser" He smiles and sits down.

"Now you can't Liam is bad now." I scoff 

"Hardly, he only gave me one compliment and continued to not talk to me so I don't know If I count that as exactly good." 

"Give him the benefit of the doubt he is the new kid, and he didn't know and with being the new kid you need a title a reputation. He chose his early and now his popular, try to put yourself in his shoes Nemo." I smile internally at the nickname Ethan gave me as a child. 

"Maybe, I'll be nice but I make no promises P.I.C" 

Since Ethan and I have known each other since the end of time we decided to give each other nicknames, mine is Nemo because every time went over to my house I had Nemo on repeat. I call him P.I.C for partner in crime where trouble followed so did Ethan and I. 

"Alright well goodbye loser" Ethan gets out of my car and looks in the window. 

"You know you and Liam could be actual couple goals if you weren't so rude to him." That's it. That's all he says before he walks in his house leaving me alone with the haunting thought of me and Liam. 

Ethan is right I have to "date" Liam anyway as apart of my assignment just little did I know that I'd have the challenge of a lifetime.
