Chapter Five - Over Protective

It is currently Sunday night, 11pm to be exact and I'm literally sweating bullets. I don’t want to have to face Maddox tomorrow. Or anyone for that matter. All of my friends kept asking me question on how it went, whether we kissed, if he asked me out again but I ignored all their calls and didn’t answer any of their messages. Which is a bad idea I know, cause they will bombard me tomorrow. But I was just so upset. Maddox called me four times, twice on Saturday and twice today.

He messaged me Friday night telling me he needed to talk to me, and like what I did to everyone else, I didn’t reply. I tossed and turn all night, replaying Friday night in my head, how well it was all going, and how easily I was succumbing in his hands. His touch sent me on overdrive, it gave me shivers and delightful tingles. I yearned for more, for his protective hold.

The way he held me was just, so uh! I don’t even know how to explain it. He literally made me feel so special to him, like he only cared about me and me only. But then his words cut me like a knife. ‘I should never have asked you to come’. I know it might seem like I'm being overdramatic, but I was starting to really fall for him, I know it’s fast but who wouldn’t?! He is absolutely gorgeous, funny, and though he says things he shouldn’t, his idiotic ways makes me smile like a looney.

Damn I'm falling, fast and hard.

“We thought you were dead! You didn’t answer any of us! What is wrong with you!! We all even came past your house, but of course no one answered! Were you trying to give us a heart attack you biatch!!” Piper practically screeched, which made me giggle.

“I'm sorry, Friday night didn’t go so well and I'm just not up to talking about it” I answered.

It was currently last lunch and I had tried avoiding them all day, till they found me eating my sandwich in the library.

“What did that asshole do!? Want me to kick his ass for you?!” she said, her anger levels rising. I laughed.

“No, I don’t know what I need right now. I didn’t really give him a chance to explain himself. But what happened it hurt, I guess the only way I’ll feel better is if I give him a chance to talk” I sighed.

“Well then, CHOP, CHOP, get your talk on girl!” she demanded, as she pulled me off the comfortable couch, making the book I was reading fall to the ground with a thud.

“WHAT? No!” I whisper yelled.

“You get your cute little tooshie, out of this library and find that fine piece of ass!” she squealed, and pulled me out of the library, Lilly, Zoey and Caroline were following behind closely, giggling at the scene in front of them.

“Help me!” I yelled to them, and they giggled even louder.

“Sorry Ari! But we all know you need to do this” Caroline answered,

“I agree” Lilly said.

“Me too!” Zoey added, and I huffed and poked my tongue out at them.

Great help they are.

It took us a maximum of five minutes to locate Maddox. They were outside at their usual spot, behind the science building. My heart raced as we neared them, once we were close enough, all heads and eyes were on us, which made me even more nervous. Max, Tyler, Danny and another guy stood with Maddox. Maddox’s eyes were stuck on me, as the other boys wolf whistled.
