(Y/N)it's P.O.V
"Sigh...It feels like I've been here forever. " I say, laying on the floor and staring up at the ceiling. About seven months ago I was trapped in here by some kind of demon thingy. Why do things like this always happen to me? I didn't even believe in shit like this before.
My new friend Jessie laughs at me," At least you aren't stuck in hear like the rest of us."
I nod. What he said is true, the demon did tell me I'd be able to get out eventually. It said that I'd be able to escape with the 666th person. Yeah, super cheesy right? Well, it turns out that it's also super boring because I immediately lost count of how many people were coming in. Also, considering this place is haunted, you'd think that actual ghost hunters would show up. However, NOT ONE GHOST HUNTER has shown their face here!-
Suddenly Jessie shook my shoulder, telling me that he just heard some new people had come in. As soon as he said this, something felt different. It felt like something was tugging at my chest.
I quickly shook off the strange feeling peering down the stairs at the new people. It looked like they were part of a tv show. They had camera equipment with them, as well as other things. From what I could tell, the two in the front were the ones who were appearing on camera. I immediately was awestruck by the taller of the two. Apart from being reasonably attractive, he was also incredibly tall. Especially when compared to the other, much shorter, man.
They began making small talk whilst they set up camera equipment in the room. From what I gather, the taller man's name is Shane and the shorter man's name is Ryan. To my surprise, after the got done setting up they started talking about ghosts! Finally, we have some ghost hunters!
I wanted to get even closer to them but something held me in my place. For the first time, I was scared. Scared of being seen, and scared of what they'd do if they saw me. So, I trailed behind them for a while. Watching them wander about the house and try to talk to Jessie, who was fetting increasingly offended by Shane's remarks. I, however, found Shane quite funny. He reminded me of what I used to be like. Skeptical.
Ryan's voice suddenly snaps me out of my thoughts. He had taken out a small box, saying that it was a spirit box and explaining its use. Jessie thought he'd have some fun with this. He got close to the loud little ghost radio and quietly whispered,"meatballs." Shane got a confused look on his face and said in a questioning voice, "meatballs?" I finally couldn't contain myself any longer, peering in from the doorway I shouted, "YOU WOULD KNOW!"
Ryan looked at the box and started laughing, "It said just said you would know!"
However, Shane quickly turned his head to where I was standing. I just barely ducked back into the hallway before he saw me. I gasped and covered my mouth. There was no fucking way he just heard me. No way.
I then thought back to what the demon said. Was this man the 666th person? Should I go talk to him and see? I shake my head. No, he might be on live tv. I don't want to make it seem like he's nuts in front of all of those people. I can wait until they're done.
Jessie suddenly walked in to check on me. Looking down to where I was hiding and giving me a questioning look.
"(y/n) what was that all about?"
"I think he's the guy" I whisper, trying not to let Shane hear me.
"Then what on earth are you hiding here for?"
"I...don't want people to think he's crazy"
"That's fair, but why do you look so scared? You should be happy."
"What if he doesn't want to help me, Jessie? What if he just ignores me?"
"Young lady I'm sure that won't be the case. Besides, didn't the demon say that you'd be attached to him? You'll be with him no matter what now."
I sigh, he's probably right. I'm just so nervous. Will I really finally be able to get out of here?
"You know what Jessie, you're right. I'm just being paranoid."
"Yeah, and while we're on the topic of you being free, could you help free me after you get your body back? I'm ready to move on to the afterlife."
"Anything for you Jess."
"Don't call me that," Jessie said as he walked away.
I laugh to myself. That really helped me feel better about this. He was right though, no matter what I and Shane want we're going to be stuck together.
Huffing, I get up from the ground and find the "ghoul brothers" again.
Now we play the waiting game.
