It had been a few days since I last looked through the Jedi Texts, my connection with the force was strong but the rest of the Jedi that were within me didn't seem to be in a giving or much of a talkative mood.

"BB-8, is there anything in your hard drive that allows you to translate the language in these texts?" I let out a slight annoyed sigh. Things weren't exactly going smoothly, that's for sure. My robotic companion let out a few jumbled beeps and whirls of slight sadness

"It's alright BB-8, we'll find someone who can translate these" as I talk to him I realize, there's no one on Tatooine who could possibly even try to crack the Jedi's language. I almost give up a second time when BB-8 whirls at me with a very likely and very well chosen person who could translate the Texts.

"You're a genius BB-8!" I exclaim, taking hold of the droid in my hands I gently kiss the top of his metallic head "why didn't I think of that before, C-3PO was able to translate the Sith's dagger, he could very well translate these! He traveled with Master Luke and Leia almost everywhere, he must've picked up the texts of the Jedi along the way somehow". BB-8 lets out a happy and gleeful string of beeps while rolling back and forth in the sand

"I guess this means only one thing, BB" - the droid stops mid roll and looks up at me - "we're going to Akiva" a smile works its way to my lips, Finn still sent transmissions from time to time through BB-8. The last call I got over the com was him telling the current location of what remained of the Resistance, well, of those who didn't have anywhere to go. BB-8 lets out an explosion of excited beeps and whirls while bouncing and rolling over the sand. I watch him for a few more moments before hurrying into the stronghold that once housed Luke.

There wasn't much that I brought with me, I let out a gentle yet sad sigh as I gaze across the room at where I had tried my best to neatly fold Ben's clothes that he left behind. Although they were slightly torn from the fight on Exegol I kept them, as of now they left a sore reminder that he was gone. Shaking away the dark thoughts that tried to storm their way in, I make my way over to the small pile. Without realizing, I gently run my fingers over the fabric in reminiscence of who had worn them. I try to envision the warmth that once seeped through the clothes that came from a body, but I knew full well there was no one there underneath.

"Ben..." I whisper as I closed my eyes, days after I came to Tatooine I had tried reaching out through the force to him, to Ben Solo. But to no avail, I had gotten no response, not even a slight whisper on the dry heat of the planet's sands or the whipping of the storms that wreaked havoc on its surface.

"Be with me..." I murmur over and over again while trying to reach out as far as the force would allow me. Hoping for something, anything I try harder, I can feel life throughout the galaxy, many dying from old age, children laughing, relationships and love sparking. But I can't feel him, I cannot feel Ben.

Letting out a defeated sigh I gently pick up the clothes and stuff them into a satchel, as I clip my saber to my waist I take one last look upon this place I had called home for the days I had taken refuge.

"It was fun while it lasted, but I must go" I give a slight bow of my head to my temporary home and walk out of the stronghold, BB-8 lets out a questioning beep

"I'm fine BB, I was just getting a few things and taking one last look upon this place before we go", I give a sad smile to the droid who in return gives me an understanding dip of his head.

"Shall we?" with a flick of my head in the direction of the X-Wing, BB-8 whirls with glee before taking off across the sand and quickly getting in place for the ship to load him in, I quickly walk and jump into the cockpit, the cover sliding over with a metallic hiss. Flicking up levers and buttons the engine finally blares to life, I take off the safety gear and start to lift the ship up. BB-8 lets out a sentence of beeps and happy clicks, I can't help but smile at his words as we soar up and past the atmosphere

"I'm ready to go home too BB, home to my friends", I slide the X-Wing into lightspeed, the shift in force presses me back into my seat as we travel several clicks through the galaxy, it was time to save Ben, the answer had to be within the Jedi Texts, and I was going to find out how.
