Six

I sat at the edge of my bed, staring down at the unconscious girl.

I extended my arm and caressed her sleeping face as I recalled what just happened last night and then remembered how she sucked the life out of a man. I stare at her sleeping face. What happened to her?

Suddenly, her eyes fluttered open and stared back at me. She sat up. "What happened?" She asked and look around the room.

"(Y/N), what happened to you? You said that you would never harm anybody unless they are bad." I stated, remembering what she said a long ago.

"That was before. I'm not the (Y/N) you use to know.." She said, not looking at me.

"(Y/N).." I stare at her trembling figure and sighed. "I'll wait till you tell me but just.. Don't hurt Yui."

She looked at me and I could see sadness and almost tears in her eyes. She opened her mouth to say something but immediately took it back as she shut her mouth closed and looked down at her hands that curled into a fist. "Alright.." She whispered under hear breath but I heard. I smiled and rub her head. "Thank you." I said and got up. "The others are waiting, I bet you're hungry. Let's go down and eat."

She nodded and got out of bed and followed me down to the dining room. It was quiet as the guys stare uneasily at her. I sat down beside her and ate.

After the meal, we all dispersed. Me and (Y/N) went together to the music room where we once played. "Do you.. Still remember how to play?" I asked to which she nodded. I sighed and led her to a sofa and made her sit down. I sat down beside her and stare at her as she stare down at her lap.

An idea sudden came through my head and I laid my head on her lap. She stared at me surprised. "Let us stay like this for a while, okay?" I said. "Okay." She said. I closed my eyes and after a while, I felt her stroking my head. I opened my eyes but to only cover my eyes with her other hand.

"That night, when we finally met each other in a long time.." She begun. "It wasn't my first time draining the life out of a human.."

I was shocked. She told me that she wouldn't suck the blood out of one. "I.. I didn't want to but.. But they left me no choice!" I hear her voice cracked. "I was struggling out of their grasp! If I hadn't sucked their life away, I would've-" I heard her sniffle. I put a hand over the ones that she was using to cover my eyes in order to lift it. "Don't.. I can't face you right now.." She stated and I let my hand fall back to where they were once before. "I sucked and sucked and didn't stop till I realized that the man was dead! After that, I promised not to do it again but as time go by, I figure out the true nature of humans. They were all evil! Along the years, I made friends, but they all betrayed me one way, shape, or form and then I remembered that time I first tasted human blood. It was delicious. So, I sucked the life of those who betrayed me. Once they were all dead, I thought I could try and revert back to how I was before but I couldn't.. I kept craving for more and more.."

After all these years, she had been suffering and I wasn't there to help her.. "Eventually, they knew we were vampires and burnt down my home. I was the only survivor and fled. And this.. Gave me more reasons to hate humans and kill them."

I sat up and look at her. Tears were streaming down her face. "Humans can't be trusted. So, that's why when I saw Yui, I didn't want you to go through what I did.." She said as I continued to wipe tears from her eyes.

I then asked her, "remember when you said that you had no choice to leave me?" She nodded and waited for me to continue. "Why did you have to leave?"

She looked down. "Humans found out about my family and wanted us dead. The day where you assumed I died, was a close call for me and my family. We already packed up but I didn't know if I'll ever come back so I faked my death. I gave humans a second chance, thinking that the ones that forced us out, were the bad ones but I was wrong.. All humans were the same everywhere I go."

I stare at her before pulling her into a hug. I promise I'll protect you.. I won't let such events happen the third time. Not when I'm around.
