Five

When I entered the manor, the others were making a circle at the front, looking panic.

"Where the hell did you go?" Ayato asked.

"You weren't in your room when we went looking for you," Laito stated.

I look at Reiji still acting calm and collective. That face pisses me off. It makes me want to punch it.

I walked passed them and went to my room, not saying a single word. Luckily, it was the weekend so I can sleep but I couldn't as a smile crept on my face. She's alive..

It wasn't long till it was time to eat and I went downstairs to the dining room. As I entered, the others eyes me weirdly but I took no notice.

This time, instead of leaving like I usually do, I ate which made the others eyed me even more.

"Is this even Shu?" Ayato whispers to Reiji- well, attempted to whisper.

I finished my meal and excused myself and went to the living room where the others soon followed in.

The other's were chatting and bickering around while I sag there, smiling. I didn't even notice that I was smiling till Ayato got fed up.

"Alright, what the hell is wrong with you!?" Ayato shouted, pointing at me.

I stare at him, my smile gone and in place, a blanked face but I didn't notice. "What do you mean?" I asked.

"Ever since you came back, you've been smiling like an idiot and even ate a full dinner with us!" He sated, shouting.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door which made him stop and made all of us look at the direction of the entrance.

A butler went and open the door. We could hear him talking with someone before hearing the door closed.

The butler entered the room we were in and opened his mouth to say something but was immediately cut off by a female walking in.

"Hello!" She greets happily.

We all stared at her as she stared back at us, smiling. "Hm? I didn't know that Shu and Reiji had guests over," she stated.

"Guests? Does she mean us?" Ayato said and pointed at himself.

"Sorry, Miss, who are you?" Laito asked, drawing his face near hers. She just stared there blankly before punching him which caused him to fly across the room and groan in pain.

"How rude. Is this how you talk to strangers?" She asked. "You were lucky. If the other's weren't around, I'd give you a good beating."

Reiji stood there, wide-eyed and turned even paler than he normally was. "So, are you guys not going to greet me?" She asked.

"But.. But how..?" I hear Reiji say, almost in a whisper.

"What do you mean how?" She asked. "Oh! You mean how I'm still alive? Well, simple! A fall like that wouldn't kill a vampire now, would it?"

"Eh? Vampire!?" The others say out loud in unison.

"And it seems that she knows Shu and Reiji.." Laito said, gaining his composure.

"Yeah, so who are you?" Subaru asked glaring at her.

"Hmph. Usually it's supposed to be you guys introducing yourselves first but whatever." She took a seat across from us. "I'm (Y/N) (L/N) and yes, I'm a vampire. Wait, you guys are vampires, right?" She eyed them deathly to which they nodded- except Yui. "So, are you guys going to introduce yourselves or am I just going to give you guys names?"

The guys introduced themselves one by one. "So, what are you guys doing here?" She asked.

"What do you mean? We live here," Ayato stated.

"Hm? Live here?" She repeated.

"We're brothers." Kanato stated.

"Eh!? Brothers!?" She repeats, shocked. "I didn't know that you guys are brothers! I thought it was only Shu and Reiji!"

"Well, we are half brothers." Laito said.

"I see.." Her eyes then trailed off to Yui and quickly rushed to her. "What is this cutie doing here?" She said and eyed her from head to toe. Then she froze.

"(Y/N)?" I called out.

"You.. You're not a vampire, are you?" The atmosphere around her got dark as she narrowed her eyes.

"U-um.." Yui stuttered, not knowing what to say.

"Well, duh. She's human." Ayato stated. "The bride."

"B-bride?" (Y/N) looked taken a back. She looked down at ground before wrapping a hand around Yui's hand and choking her.

Me and Kanato, the only ones who were sitting, shot up. The others were already pulling (Y/N) away from Yui.

"Let me go!" She shouted as Subaru and Ayato grabbed hold of her. "She must die! Die!"

Yui was breathing fast and looked scared. "What is a human doing here!?" She shouted, kicking the air and struggling from their grasped.

"(Y/N), calm down!" I said.

"Shit. I can't hold onto her any longer!" Ayato states. Reiji came from the back and knocked her out cold. Ayato and Subaru finally let loose of her.

I picked her up. "I'll bring her to my room." I said and left the others.

Why did she act this way? She has never acted this aggressively towards a human before. What happened to her?
