Chapter 12 - New Year's Special

I sat, focused on the large rectangle TV; Sitting beside me is Green, Ultimate Manipulator, he and I have been playing Tekken, we both got ties each time and then, but surprisingly, Green is better at this.

Ethan, Natsuki, and Aka stood either behind or beside us, cheering for either of us. Suddenly the game was paused unexpectedly.

"It's lunchtime, quit playing games, you guys, unless you'd rather eat up the whole controller for the whole lunchtime," Red said

I hissed at him; he smirked in response and left.

"Damn that author..." I muttered

"What did you say, Y/n?" Green asked

I shook my head

"Ahaha, it's nothing!" I smiled

Green and I got up, my friends and I walked off and made our way towards the dining room.

It's been a few days since Monika unexpectedly kissed me, I tried getting it all off my head by spending time with others, like Green or Ethan, or Aka, or maybe Sayori and Natsuki, or maybe Red. But it doesn't help, it makes me feel weird as if I'm missing something.

We arrive at the dining room, and there I spot Red and Monika talking to each other, enjoying each other's company. I feel anger and blood rising before me. I shook my head in refusal

Remember Y/n, don't get too angry, everyone deserves to hang out with their friends

Red notice me and smile at me with his eyes sparkling, he nudged Monika and pointed at me, I became flustered and looked away.

Damn that Red!

I felt a tap.

"Hey, are you okay, Y/n?"

As if my death has come, it was Monika, her angelic voice, her angelic face. 

(What's wrong, Y/n? Can't handle it?)

Huh!? Red? is that you!?

(Yes, Sir Y/n, I am Red, Red Hasegawa!)

I noticed Red snickering just behind Monika

Damn you

(Aww, don't use those unpleasant abo words on me, it hurts...)

I'm not abashed...

"Y/n?" 

I caught myself being stared at by Monika.

"Ah, I apologize, I was spacing out," I said as I looked away

"That's what Red told me, looks like he was right," Monika stated

"Red told you?" I asked

"Yes, just before you guys came here, he said: "Y/n's gonna 'space out' again,"," Monika states

Of course, he is the author, he knows what's coming next.

Food came and was set on the long table, plates also set, everyone surrounded the table, I sat down, again, sitting beside Monika.

Red sat across me, he smiled at me, as if he is enthusiast by something

I stared intensely towards him

What's hiding behind that smile?

This is just the first few paragraphs and lines, but he's already smiling like an idiot!
