The little kit's gray fur flowed in the water as the helpless kit scrambled to get out. Then, a black, majestic she-cat jumped into the water, her fur soaking wet, pulled the kit out of the water and jumped out.
The kit was freezing and probably had a cold, while the warrior who saved the kit, rested upon a rock, with her mate's soft, orange fur touching hers.
"Let's get them to Tallshade!" Exclaimed a firm voice, coming from atop the Tall Peak. Her gold fur blowing in the cold wind and her paw stomping down in impatience and command. The crowd nodded and the kit's mother ran to her kit and took the kit in her mouth.
The kit's three other sisters awaited in the nursery patiently. The mother's mate was pacing outside the nursery and Tallshade waiting with moss and some herbs in his mouth outside the medicine cat den.
"I was alerted! Where's the other?" Tallshade spoke as they approached.
"Resting on a rock...too cold to move. Probably in shock." Shouted the leader as she ran towards Tallshade.
"Violetpaw, give these poppy seeds to her! Hurry!" Tallshade exclaimed, giving poppy seeds to Violetpaw. She nodded and ran to the rock where the black she-cat was rested.
Meanwhile, the kit's sisters circled her sister, anticipating when she would wake up...if she even woke up at all. "Tallshade...w-will she wake up?" The white and black kit asked.
"She is indeed breathing so, yes. She will be in shock though, girls. You must remain calm." Tallshade replied. All three sisters nodded their heads and waited almost until sunrise.
"You still awake?" The gray striped kit whispered to her other sisters.
"Duh! Our sister is in danger! Of course I'm awake!" The white and black kit replied.
"I'm barely awake but...I'm still going..." The dark gray kit mumbled.
Then, the light gray kit's eye started to open. Her vision was blurry, but she could see who it was. Her sisters were all in front of her when her mother was pacing and her father was probably out hunting.
"Oh, my dear kit! Are you alright?" Her mother rushed to her side.
"Yes...m-mother..." the kit stammered as her mother touched noses with her.
"I must give her the proper treatment so I have to ask you to all leave." Tallshade explained.
The mother nodded her head and so did both kits, excpt the black and white kit. She spoke before she went. "Can I say goodebye?"
"It's not forever, little kit...but sure. If you must." Tallshade agreed.
The black and white kit padded over to her sister and spoke. "See you later, Flowerkit!"
