Burden

This is going to be a very long chapter.
Shadows P.O.V
I wake up the girl before anyone else was awake.
Shadow: Guys wake up I said
Mackenzie: Why
Janiah: Yeah why wake us up
Nylah: Go back to sleep it 4 in the morning
Shadow: Get up we are leaving
Kylee: Why what's wrong
Shadow: I was thinking of how much of a burden we are to the guys
Mackenzie: Not gonna lie she is right
Shadow: We've been getting too attached let get the RV keys grab our stuff
We all agree and grabbed the RV keys and went to the RV and grab all our stuff.
Shadow: Everyone grab everything
Everyone: Yeah
I write a letter and say how much of a burden we are to them and grab our penny boards and leave. We all go to Kylee's house because it was close.
Shadow: They don't know where you live which is good
Mackenzie: We shouldn't have got attached to them
We all where upset but it was true.
Shadow: Ok let's go to bed I'm tired
Kylee brought us to her room she had 4 beds because she had 3 sisters but they moved out. Kylee offered me her bed I said no and slept on the floor. I woke up in one of the beds. The girls where all down stairs eating breakfast.
Mackenzie: Good morning Shadow
Shadow: Good morning and thank you for putting me on the bed when you guys woke up
Kylee: Oh no problem
Then I get a call. It's from Colby. I don't answer it. Then we eat breakfast and go out penny boarding. Then we where crossing to get to another side then Mackenzie gets hit by a car.
Shadow: HOLY SHIT CALL 911
Kylee calls 911 and we all get in the ambulance with her. We get to the hospital and Mackenzie is rushed into surgery. I'm crying saying how it's my fault she's like this. Then I get a call from Sam. I go outside and answer this time.
Sam: Whe-
I cut him off.
Shadow: We are at the hospital
Sam: WHAT HAPPENED?!?
Shadow: Mackenzie got hit by a car she's in surgery but don't come please
Sam: Why
Shadow: BECAUSE WE ARE JUST BURDENS
I hang up on them.
After 8 hours of Mackenzie in surgery we all go to her room. Visiting hours were over and a nurse came into tell us to leave so I told her that we where all family so she let us stay. I put my head on her bed and fell asleep.
Sams P.O.V
I call Shadow to ask where they were she answered and told me that they where in the hospital and Mackenzie was in surgery. Then she asked us not to come and hung up.
Sam: Well first off we can't go where they are and second Mackenzie is in surgery.
Colby: Then we should go
Sam: She told us not to
I see a note that we didn't realize was there. It said " Dear guys, don't come and find us and don't call. We are just burdens to you guys and that's it. We are going to leave you guys. We grabbed all our stuff and left. And Colby I'm sorry for cutting. Thank you so much for helping. Sam you are nice to us and thank for all you did for us. Corey we are going to miss you. And I want to thank you for helping them when they got in that fight at the school. And Elton thank you for the trip so in the envelope we left $100 in there. And I want to thank you guys for helping me with my dad. I'm going to stay with one of them when we left. Thank you for taking care of us. We will pay back the favor one day. From your friends, Mackenzie, Kylee, Janiah, Nylah, and Shadow".
I started to tear up. We went back to the Trap House.
Shadows P.O.V
2 day later from the surgery
I wake up and see everyone is still asleep I just stair off. I hear someone get up.
Kylee: What time is it
Shadow: 3 in the morning
Then Mackenzie wakes up
Shadow: HOLY SHIT
Everyone wakes up and see Mackenzie up
Shadow: I'll get the nurse
I go find the nurse who was taken care of Mackenzie. We go back to her room.
Nurse: I'll take some test the you'll be free to go
The nurse takes Mackenzie and I go outside and think about everything.
Shadow: Guys how are we going to get back
Kylee: I got it covered
Shadow: Ok let's go then
We see Mackenzie's mom and get in her car
Shadow: I'm so sorry
Mackenzie's Mom: It's not your fault it's the person who was driving. Just remember we are in California so it's not your fault.
Mackenzie: Mom I wanted to tell you that I broke my arm and got a concussion.
Mackenzie's Mom: It's ok
Mackenzie: Oh and I'm suspended from school for a fight that's why Kylee has a cast.
Mackenzie's Mom: who started it Shadow
Shadow: I can't say I wasn't there I was in the hospital.
Mackenzie's Mom: OH MY GOD Why
Shadow: I got stabbed in the side
Mackenzie's Mom: I'm sorry that happened sweetie
Kylee: The kids started it
Shadow: I'm also suspended from that
Mackenzie's Mom: How?
Shadow: Well when they told me I was out of the hospital and went to the school and kicked there as- I mean I hurt them back for what they did. Mrs.M I will always protect your daughter and my friends they are family to me. My dad got arrested yesterday because someone called the police telling them he abused me so I want to find out the person who called to thank them.
Mrs.M: Your dad abused you
Shadow: Yeah
Mrs. M: But it doesn't look like you been abused your always happy
I roll up my sleeves when we get to Mackenzie's house.
Shadow: I harmed myself but I had someone to help me stop.
We get to the house and bring our penny boards in. I bring my bat for some reason it's in a bag that goes on my shoulder. I get a call from Summer.
Shadow: He-
Summer: Shadow help me they are about to hurt me.
Shadow: Where are you
Summer: Suicide bridge
Shadow: I'll be there in a few. Try to distract them so I can get there.
I end the call and grab Kylee's good arm and grab Mrs.M's keys and go to her car and grab mine and Kylee's penny boards. I started to drive as I told Kylee to grab the rope in my bag. We get to the bridge and I call Summer
Shadow: Where are you
Summer: Under the bridge hurry
I end the call and grab our penny boards and get down there. There were 3 kids from our school and I see Summer
Shadow: SUMMER RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN
She runs as fast as she could I mace them then hit there legs with my bat. But little did I know Kylee was hit from behind and I pull her to my chest. And I was pissed I grabbed my mace and maced all of them and knocked them out. I put Kylee on my back and I yell for Summer.
Shadow: SUMMER COME OUT WE ARE GOING HURRY
Summer run to me and we get into the car and drive to Mackenzie's house and I walk in and bring Kylee upstairs and put her on the bed I made sure Summer was with me. We go downstairs and Summer comes with me. She was crying. I wipe her tears and I when downstairs.
Shadow: Ok everyone this is Summer
Mackenzie: Nice to see you again Summer
Summer: Mackenzie what happened
Mackenzie: I got hurt but I'll be fine
Nylah: How do you know her
Shadow: Remember how I came down to find you have I did something
Janiah: Yeah what about it
Shadow: She the person who was gonna jump
Everyone just stair while Summer went of to Mackenzie to give her a hug. I hear a knock on the door and open the door and it was Mackenzie's dad. He didn't like any of us
Mr.M: WHY ARE THEY HERE!
Mrs.M: Mackenzie got out of the hospital
Mr.M: WHAT DID YOU GUYS DO TO MY DAUGHTER
Janiah: She got hi-
I cut her off
Shadow: We went out and-
He cuts me off
Mr.M: GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE
Nylah: STOP YELLING
Shadow: Shut up your scaring Summer
Mr.M: DOES IT LOOK LIKE I CARE GET OUT YOU FUCKING SLUT
Everything went silent. I look up at him and walk towards him.
Shadow: Mr.M you shouldn't say something like that
Then someone was holding me back. It was Summer. I turn around and look down and she was crying. Then I turn back to Mr.M dead stair him.
Shadow: Summer go to Mackenzie for a minute
Summer: Ok
I go up stairs to get Kylee and go back downstairs.
Shadow: Mrs.M I hope you have a nice day and sorry for what just happened. Come on Summer we are taking you home
Summer: Ok
We all walk out and walking to Summers house house. We drop Summer off at her house and leave. While walking we see Colby's car.
Shadow: RUN!
I had Kylee on my back so it was hard running but I trip and Kylee off my back.
Shadow: Shit
Then I hear someone running and I tried to get up but couldn't.
Shadow: fuck it hurts so bad
Then someone picks me up and everything goes black.
Colby's P.O.V
I was drive and I see Shadow and everyone else. Shadow was holding Kylee on her back. They saw my car and started running. Shadow tripped and fell badly. Kylee fell off to then I just run up to them and I see Shadow struggling to get up. I pick her up but it looks like she blacked out I bring her to my car and go back for Kylee. I call Sam and tell him to come outside. I tell him to carry Shadow because I was carrying Kylee. We put them on the couch.
Sam: What happened anyways
Colby: I saw them walking but Kylee was on Shadows back and they saw my car and started running but Shadow tripped badly and blacked out I guessing from all the pain. And I brought them here.
Sam: Well let's see if they have any cuts
Colby: Ok
We check to see if they have any cuts and they don't. Then I see Kylee waking up.
Kylee: Where the hell am I
Sam: Are you ok
Kylee: yeah?
Kylee's P.O.V
I wake up to see Sam and Colby. Fuck what do I do.
Sam: are you ok
Kylee: yeah?
Colby: What happened
Kylee: Me and Shadow has to go to Suicide bridge because our friend was in trouble and we where in a fight and I get hit in the neck and that's all I can remember. Why am I here?
Colby: I saw you guy and the group ran and Shadow had you on her back and she tripped and fell and blacked out from pain.
Kylee: damn is she ok
Colby: Yeah no scratches
Sam: Hey guys come down here
I hear people coming down the stairs so I carry Shadow and hide
I see Corey, Elton, a tall guy and a girl
Corey: What is it Sam
Sam: Kylee and Shadow are here
Elton: What do you mean
Tall Guy: Who's that
Corey: They where some teenagers that we met Aaron.
Colby: They where on the couch everyone search the house. When they left the room I get out of my hiding space and put Shadow on my back. Then Shadow woke up.
Shadow: where are
Kylee: Shhh
I put here down and we both hide.
Shadow: Kaiser you ok
Kylee: Yeah
We see Aaron I think his name is come back in the room. Then he found us and called the other guys in the room and when he wasn't looking we both move farther from where we were siting because we didn't know him well. Shadow puts her hood up and put her hands on her face. fuck she says.
Kylee: it's going to be ok I whispered
They all came to the room and I look at them and they walk over to us I feel Shadow flinch when I lean against her.
Kylee: It's going to be fine I whispered
They were a few feet away from us.
Kylee: can you stop right there
They looked at me confused but they did stop.
Kylee: Thanks and we want to apologize about what we did that morning. And Shadow told us what she said on the phone. Sam we are sorry about that. Mackenzie is ok now. I only asked you to stop is because shadow can't face you to say this because she's would cry.
Colby: Why did you hide from us
Kylee: I don't trust people I don't know
Colby: you trusted us
Shadow: I-I felt safe when I met you guys that's how I trusted you
Kylee: The rest of us trusted you when uhh ya know
Sam: Yeah
Colby: Oh you probably know that your dad got arrested we called the cops because of that yesterday.
Shadow looked up at Colby
