Next morning

At 8am, Daniel had woken up and saw his big brother still fast asleep. As he got up to get dressed to go downstairs, he noticed that Sean had gotten a small trash can to set at the bed side during the night, making the younger brother concerned.

-Flashback and Sean's POV-

I laid in bed next to my little brother, listening to his small snores. I couldn't sleep at all because I was so nauseous and my belly was still hurting. I was still pretty full from dinner and I didn't eat but a few bites, so it definitely wasn't hunger pain. My thoughts were interrupted by my own stomach that suddenly started making disgusting noises. I started getting the same pain from earlier, making me clench my jaw  and wince. As I got this really strong wave of nausea, I bolted out of bed and into the bathroom, almost not making it to the toilet to vomit. I felt like I had just threw up my entire stomach and I was still having sharp pain shoot through it.

"Fuuuck... Fuck, this hurts so much. What the fuck is wrong with me?"

I said aloud to myself. I wanted to know why I felt so sick and was in this awful pain. I got back up steadily, wanting to go back and lay down. I saw the bathroom trash can next to the sink. On my way out, I grabbed it and brought it into mine and Daniel's room for myself.

"There. Now I won't have to keep running to the toilet."

I said to myself quietly. As I lied back down and got comfortable again, my stomach instantly started groaning, pissing me off a bit.

"Fuck, really? Not now, please.."

I spoke quietly to myself again.

After Daniel was dressed and ready, he checked on his brother, who looked miserable. He debated on whether or not he should wake him up or not. He decided to go ahead and wake the elder brother. Daniel was worried to death about him.

"Sean... Sean, wake up.."

Daniel said, shaking Sean awake gently.

"Hmm?"

Sean replied, barely able to keep his eyes open.

"Sorry to wake you up, but you don't look okay, Sean..."

Daniel said with worry filling his eyes. Sean tried to wake up enough to be able to have a conversation with his brother, but the boy hadn't had enough sleep.

"I was up late last night throwing up. I just need a little more sleep, Daniel."

Sean managed to mumble out.

"I'll let you get some more sleep. I'll see you when you get up."

Daniel said, seeing that his brother was already asleep again. The little one headed downstairs to eat breakfast, but once he stepped out of their room, he saw his grandpa messing with his trains. Daniel's attention was instantly given to Stephen and his trains.

"Woah... Are these your trains, Grandpa?"

Daniel asked astoundingly.

"They sure are. Would you like to take a look at them?"

"Yeah!"

"Daniel, are you up?!"

A voice from downstairs asked.

"Yeah, Grandma!"

"Can you come down here a second?"

Claire asked her youngest grandson. He headed down the steps immediately and walked into the kitchen where Claire was and sat at the counter.

"Is your brother not up yet?"

Claire asked, not sounding surprised.

"No, he was up all night getting sick."

Daniel answered as worry appeared on his face.

"Oh, the poor boy. Well, he needs to eat something so would you mind getting him up?"

Claire requested.

"But he might get mad at me."

"He won't, and if he does just tell him I told you to."

Daniel nodded and headed back upstairs to his and his brother's room to wake Sean.

"Sean. Sean, Grandma wants you to come eat."

Sean laid on his left side with his hand on his head, his fingers intertwined in his hair as he gave a weak groan.

"I'm not hungry."

Sean mumbled out to Daniel audibly as he curled up and put his arms tightly around his stomach.

"Sean, you gotta eat. We both do, we've barely ate anything for a month."

Daniel stated.

"I know, Enano. I just can't stand the thought of having a full stomach right now."

The younger brother hated that for the older one, but he left it alone and would tell their Grandma that Sean would eat later.

"Sean, I think you should go to the hospital. I really think something is wrong with you."

Sean sighed as he winced and gripped his stomach more and gritted his teeth at the wave of pain that shot through again.

"I think you're right... Oww! Enano, go get Claire, please!"

Daniel bolted out of the room and leaned over the balcony and shouted.

"Grandma, Sean needs to go to the hospital!"

Daniel said.

"Oh dear. I'm coming!"

Claire said as she headed to the stairs. She rushed up them as quick as she could as Daniel stood at the top of the stairs. When the two entered the boys' room, they saw Sean getting sick in the small trash can he had got from the bathroom the night before.

"Sean!"

Daniel shouted in worry as he ran back over to his big brother. Claire walked over and felt of Sean's head and he felt warm.

"Okay, we're taking you to the hospital."

Claire said.

-Sean's POV-

I laid in the hospital room with an IV in my arm, pain medicine going into my vines. My stomach felt better as far as the pain, but I still felt sick to it. The doctors had already ran tests on me, now we just needed results and for no one to recognize me and Daniel. So far we've been lucky as fuck and I didn't wanna jinx it. I felt bad for Daniel. He's been so worried about me. My little brother laid next to me in the hospital bed, laying his head on my chest while we waited for someone to come back in with results.

"How are you feeling?"

My brother asked me.

"The pain medicine is working, but I feel sick to my stomach."

"I'm sorry, Sean."

"Why, Enano? It's not your fault that I'm sick."

I told my brother as I ruffled his hair.

"I know, but I hate seeing my big brother this sick."

The doctor had walked in as Daniel finished his sentence. We were finally getting results. But when the doctor told me what was wrong... I fell silent. I had a cancerous gastric tumor.
