Unexpected Lover

Chapter 2

I woke up to the annoying sound of my alarm clock . I had about five alarms to wake me up because I was good for falling back to sleep. When I opened my eyes, my head started to throb. I guess from all the crying last night .

I pulled my covers back and slowly swung my legs onto my cold wooden floors.   Despite everything that happened yesterday, life still has to go on & Eliana most definitely still has to make this money.   I owned my own hair salon. Doing hair has always been my passion . I went to Miami community college and got my degree in Cosmetology.

I walked into my bathroom & cut the shower on. I looked in the mirror to see my nose & eyes were still red as if I was sick. I sighed at how I looked and started to take my clothes off. I stepped in the shower and washed for about 15 minutes being that I washed last night . I did my higiene & threw on one of my hoodies from my line "business women," some black tights, and my Balenciagas. I really wasn't feeling it today .

It was currently 10:27 and I had to be at the shop by 11:00 because my first client was at 11:30. I ran down the stair grabbing my pink Chanel purse and I was out. Making myself a note to clean my house up later. I jumped in my 2019 Jeep wrangle and was on my way.

I arrived at my shop at 10:56 on the dot. My shop wasn't that far from my house, but the traffic in Miami is heavy in the morning.

I unlocked the door and immediately turned on the air. Baby the March weather in Miami ain't no joke. I plugged up all the necessary utilities needed to do her hair. She was getting long crimp. I just cleaned up around the shop though nothing was dirty to by time.

11 came in no time & my client was here. All of my clients know to be here on time because I will charge a late fee . "Hey girl, how are you ?" I greeting her. "Hi & girl im fine , just a little tired. You know I had an hour drive" she replied. " oh yeah I do remember you telling that. but don't worry, it'll be worth it."  Making small talk in between & before we knew it, I was done. She looked in the mirror and was totally in awe . " oh my gosh girl ! I love !" I laughed " I told you girl . Turn around and let me take a picture." I told her . Snapping the pictures, she was good to go.  I had another client at 3 so i thought about grabbing something to eat in the mean time.

I got in my Jeep and headed to Chick-Fil-A that was right up the street. The line was way too long, so I just got out. Waking in i noticed that the line was just as long, but I was already inside. About 10 minutes passed & I was finally up. " Hi ,welcome to Chick-Fil-A, my name is Nathan. What can I get you today?"  The kind white boy asked me. "Hi Nathan, can I get the number two spicy deluxe please? American cheese and a fruit punch to drink." I replied memorizing my order without looking at the menu. I paid for my food & just waited. As I was waiting, I spotted a pretty little girl who I knew looked familiar running from her father towards the play pin. She ran into my leg clanging onto them while catching her breath. The cuteness of it made me laugh. Her father instantly grabbed her  " comon  Kennedy ! You know you aren't supposed to do that" he stressed. I instantly looked up wishing I never did. It was David .. Antonio's friend. " Oh .. I'm sorry Eliana, Kennedy knows she's not supposed to do that" his eyes darted from her to me. "oh don't worry about it, she's fine" I replied slightly smiling. " Ok .. and uh you aight?" Not replying, I just raised one of my eyebrows at him. " I mean with everything that happened yesterday, I just wanted to make sure you aight" he stated. Replying " not that it's any of your business, I'm fine . Don't try and pull that sympathy stuff with me, because at the end of the day, your Antonio's friend and your loyalty lyes with him and not me. I know you knew." I brushed passed him as I heard my order being called. I didn't expect for David to tell me that his friend was cheating on me so I didn't want to hear that.

I grabbed my food & headed to my truck. Once I got in I checked my food to make sure everything was as I asked. I grabbed a fry and was on my way back to the shop. I had two more heads to do.
