Lavanya and Khushi were enjoying dessert by the poolside, after a joyous lunch with the family. While, Khushi was silently staring at the pool utterly confused and puzzled about initiating conversation with Lavanya, reminiscing their fun times together eventually saddened due to this strange hesitation between them.

On the other hand, Lavanya in order to lightened this awkwardness (joyfully): Chamkili! Since when have you become so quiet?

Khushi (quietly): I was just thinking about our fun times together.

Lavanya (smiling, thinking about how they had bonded so well in a short time a while ago since she did not like Khushi at first): Yeah! We had so much fun together. I missed you so much in America though I have made new friends there's no one as fun-loving or crazy as you. Don't worry, Chamkili, we'll go shopping tomorrow morning and have some fun before your Haldi ceremony.

Khushi (hesitantly): Lav, are sure that you're okay. I was so worried realizing what really happened.

Lavanya: Well! Chamkili, I won't lie to you, as you are my best friend and the sister I've never had. Actually, it was difficult in the beginning, as I didn't know what to do or how to pull my life back together. I decided to focus on my career and eventually started helping Dad in his business creating a new world for myself. Okay, enough about me, tell me about you. I knew ASR loved you but now tell me how did you two actually realize it?"

Khushi (sadly looking away as tears started to fill her eyes): Why didn't you tell me after you left? I did not understand the reason about you leaving until much later after which I assumed that I caused you pain and you don't want to be my friend anymore.

Taking a deep breath being well aware that she owed this crazy but cute friend of hers a valid explanation in order to clear out the misconstrue of her prior actions. Lavanya finally spoke, "Chamkili, actually I did avoid you only in the beginning because I was an emotional wreck. I was heartbroken, having deep feelings for ASR and I left after realizing that he did not reciprocate the same. Trust me Khushi; Di, Naniji, Mamiji along with you, everyone had become a vital part of my life and I considered everyone family. In such short time we were all closely bonded during my stay here. Most nights I would cry myself to sleep in sadness and anguish. Occasionally, ASR would call me asking about my wellbeing I knew it was because he felt guilty and was worried. It was very easy for me to have a normal conversation with him, without revealing my true state. But in your case, a normal conversation without you perceiving that something was wrong is impossible and avoiding you seemed to be the best option at the time. Well! Time is a great healer though and I am the perfect example," she finished her explanation somberly.
