The walk to the village was quiet except for Slivko always asking questions and talking to his stupid radio.

"You're not going to contact them form here Slivko. Let's wait till we get closer to the group." Conrad said holding his gun firmly in his hand.

If they are even still alive that is

The path you always took to the village is the safest route and also the most relaxing. You always walk through a field near a lake and sometimes you go swimming in the lake. The smell of the wildflowers and grass made you relax and sometimes you feel like you were back home...home, do you even still have a home to go back to?

You don't know if you even still have a home. You have no family to go home to. No one to greet at the docks when you make it back home somehow. No one to tell your stories too. It will be just you.

As you were snapped out of your trail of thought when you heard movement coming from the lake. Everyone froze into place and looked towards the water. Slowly the thing began to move and as the water drained away you saw it was a Sker Buffalo.

They were harmless unless you startle them or try and kill them first. The moss and vines draped from the Buffalo's longhorns and it stared at everyone.

Slivko had his gun pointed at the Sker Buffalo and he was basically shaking in his shoes. Mason was admiring the creature in front of her. Brooks and Sans stood close to each other for protection.

"Slivko," Conrad said slowly walking towards Slivko while still facing the Buffalo. Slivko didn't lower his gun and swallowed the lump in his throat.

"Put it down." Conrad lightly pushed down Slivko's gun and Slivko finally lowered his gun.

The Sker Buffalo huffed and walked towards Y/N. Everyone looked nervously at them and moved away slowly. Mason took a lot of pictures of the Buffalo

Y/N reached for her/his/their bag and took out some weird orange plant with purple leaves and placed it on the ground. The Sker Buffalo happily ate the plant and it crunched in its mouth with each bite. Y/N petted it's nose softly and smiled. The Sker Buffalo huffed and turned around and walked away.

Everyone stood there confused as to what just happened.

"How did it not try and kill you?" Mason asked confusion in her tone.

"Sker Buffalos are harmless. Leave it alone and it leaves you alone." You answered with a smile. You made eye contact with Conrad for a split second and a slight blush painted your face.

"But I thought everything here wants to kill you?" Slivko asked again and tried to walk beside Y/N.

"Yes some may want to kill you but the Westside is when you should be scared for your life and if I were you Slivko I wouldn't go to the west side." Y/N said not giving him a chance to walk aside her.

"Why not?" Slivko asked and cocked an eyebrow.

"They always go for the weak ones." Y/N said and quickened her/his/their pace.

Soft laughter could be heard from the group as Slivko stood there confused and offended. a Pat on Slivko's back from Conrad urged him to keep going.

Conrad quickened his pace until he was beside you. You glanced over at him and blushed a bit and then kept walking down the rocky path.

"Miss/Mister/Mix L/N may I ask how you ended up on the island?" Conrad asked and raised an eyebrow.

"As I said before I'll answer all you're questions when we are safely at the village." Y/N looked away from Conrad.

Conrad nodded. He understood that it was none of his business and he admired that you kept to yourself of your past. Just like him.

Y/N and Conrad kept walking in front of the rest of the group. Until they stumbled upon some ruins.

Y/N recognized the old ruins and whistled an odd tune. All of a sudden villagers emerged from the walls of the ruins as if they were camouflaged.

Conrad, Mason, Slivko and the rest started to panic at the sudden appearance of the villagers and they stood back to back and pointed their guns at the villagers.

Y/N turned around and her/his/their eyes widened

"Woah Woah Woah calm down! They are just the villagers!" Y/N ran in front of a villager, shielding one from Conrad's gun. Y/N and Conrad make eye contact for a few seconds.

"Lower your weapons," Conrad ordered and the group followed. Y/N nodded a thank you and turned to the villagers and nodded. The villagers lowered their spears.

"The village is this way and don't kill anyone else." Y/N started walking down the path again and the rest started to follow.

The village finally came into view and they opened the gates for them. Villagers gathered around and looked at the newcomers.

"Y/N! You're back!" Hank yelled from a distance and came running up. He stopped and gasped when he saw the other people who were accompanying Y/N.

"Are they real?" Hank rubbed his eyes in disbelief.

"Yes, Hank they are real. We have some crash survivors." Y/N giggled and turned to the group. "Everyone this is Hank Marlow, I'll let him say the rest."

Hank saluted

"Names Hank Marlow of the 45th." Hank went at ease. "I can't believe you guys are real. You guys are more beautiful than a hot dog and beer." Hank formed his hands as if holding a hot dog and a beer. "But you are real."

"Oh and here Hank, the fizoberries you wanted, don't eat them in 3 days please today was a shitty errand run." Y/N laughed softly and gave Hank a small pouch.

Hank smiled widely and opened it and started to eat some of the berries.

"I have to go give some of the villagers their stuff too." Y/N smiled and walked to a small hut and unbeknownst by her Conrad stared at her/him/ them as she/he/they left.

"Oh? I see you looking at Y/N big guy." Hank smirked and Conrad looked at Hank.

"Yeah Y/N is something special alright." Hank chuckled. "Y/N has the most guts out of everyone here in this village. She/He/They risk her/his/their life to make sure everyone has something for them that makes them happy."

Conrad nodded and looked at Y/N and then back at Hank.

"How odd," Conrad said softly
