Third P.O.V

"Yes Y/N can be odd at a time or it's just me being an old folk not understanding the new things you youngins do." Hank chuckles and patted Conrad's back. Conrad scowled at Hank.

"Did you crash here Hank?" Mason asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I crashed here on the island, explains the old flight suit for ya." Hank chuckled pulling his pants up a bit. Mason nodded awkwardly.

"How long have been on this island?" San asked and furrowed her eyebrows.

"What year is it?" Hank scratched his head and looked at them.

"It is 1973," Conrad answered.

"It has been that long huh?" Hank chuckled and then bursted out laughing.

Everyone gave each other looks of confusion and then looked at Hank.

"Follow me." Hank waved them over and started walking away.

Y/N P.O.V

After giving the villagers some food and resources I started heading back to the group. I felt a tug on my shirt and I looked down. Some of the village kids came up to me and the smallest of the group had something in their hands.

"Hello there." I kneeled down to their height and the smallest one came towards me. They opened their hands and I saw a shell necklace that they have made.

"Awe thank you

"Awe thank you." I smiled and bowed my head to show them that I was thankful. The kids bowed their heads and ran off.

The Iwi's do not talk to outsiders. At first, they also came at me with spears and hatred but Hank was able to save me and now after 9 years we have built respect for one another and the kids on the island would also come and ask me to play with them. I taught them about soccer and they even started making up their own games.

"Y/N!"

I looked over and saw Mason walked up.

"We're heading off, are you coming with us?" She smiled.

"Sure, where are we going?" I smiled and started walking with Mason to join the group. Mason shrugged and I laughed softly.

"So how long have you been stuck here?" Mason asked and took photos of the environment.

"I don't know what year is it?" I furrowed my eyebrows and played with the necklace. It frightened me how I didn't even know what year it was. What day it was. It is scary.

"It is 1973." Mason looked at me worriedly and I could tell she felt sorry for me.

"I think I shipwrecked around 1964 then, that would be 9 years." I looked at her and smiled.

"Wow 9 years." Mason frowned.

"Yeah, but are you a photographer?" I smiled and motioned to her camera. I tried to change the topic and not let it be awkward.

Mason and I talked about her photography job for a while till I felt I was being watched. I looked around and then made eye contact with the watcher. It was Conrad.

Conrad was ahead of us and was talking with Hank. Conrad looked away when I caught him and I giggled softly and carried on with my conversation with Mason.

"We are here and when you walk in please don't touch anything," Hank said and I looked where we were. A shiver went down my spine. We were in front of the boat that shipwrecked long before Hank and I arrived on the island.

This place gave me the creeps. We walked in and I noticed Mason went ahead of me and Conrad was now beside me.

"May you answer my questions now?" Conrad smirked at me and I giggled in response.

"Shhh. Everything will be answered now." I giggled and walk further into the ship. The torches that hung on the walls were our only source of light. Rocks with paint on them were positioned in such a way that you should look at it from a specific angle so you can see the picture.

"Before I washed up in the island the Iwi's use to live in fear of everything that inhabited this island." Hank started and everyone walked on to the first stones.

"But then a miracle happened. One of the monsters they were scared of started protecting them." Hank chuckled proudly and the stones revealed Iwi's bowing to Kong. Kong had his arms open wide as a sign of protection and welcoming. Hank looked over to the next set of rocks and his smile faltered.

"But nothing lasts forever I guess." At that moment we saw the next picture...two skeletons the shape of a gorilla with another gorilla lowering its head...it mourns.

"Kong is the last of his kind. He has been protecting the island for years and even tho he is still young he protects the island. And you don't go dropping bombs unless you're picking a fight." Conrad, San, Mason and the others lowered their heads in shame of what had happened. They knew what they did.

"Did one of them kill your friend?" Mason frowned and pointed to the Kong drawing. Hank shook his head and you could feel that he mourns as well.

"No...one of them did." Hank pointed slowly to the next picture that was of these lizard like creatures. No eyes, a skull for a head, no back legs and huge front legs supporting its body.

"They are the demons that live underground."

"What are they called?" Conrad said as he looked at Hank.

"The Iwi's don't speak of their names but I call them..." Hank paused and looked everyone in the eyes individually. Dramatic much.

"Skullcrawlers."

Everyone nodded at the name and exchanged disappointed looks.

"I thought it sounded cool...but now that I say them out loud. You call them whatever you want." Hank folded his arms and huffed.

"I'm fine with calling it that." Mason said and looked at Conrad and then at me. I let out a soft laugh and Hank took a deep breath.

"Those bombs woke some of them up and thats why Kong is so upset. He can get to the little ones but you don't want to wake up the big one." Hank looked at them and he was dead serious. A shiver went down my spine just at the thought of them. I never encountered one before and I am relieved that I haven't.

"Listen Hank. We have helicopters coming to the North end of the island. We'll be able to leave this island. You should join us." Conrad looked at Hank and you saw Hank's eyes widen.

"We get to leave?" Hank starts to chuckle and Conrad nodded and said yes and laughed with Hank. Hank then proceeded to pat Conrad's cheek continuously wipping the smile off Conrad's face immediately. I held back a laugh and Mason as well.

"You can't make it to the North end of the Island on foot..." Hank chuckled and then looked at me slowly. I frowned and my eyes widened when I knew what he was talking about.

"But we can by boat." Hank smiled widely and I felt my heart sink.
