Chapter 9

Charli's POV:
"Charli, would you like to go to the New Years party with me?" Chase asked me holding a sign. "I'd love to!" I replied running over to him. We hugged for a few moments. "Awwwww!" we heard everyone saying behind us. We both let go and I went bright red. Chase looked down and scratched his neck. "Anyways, Avani are you moving in here or are you just gonna stay at home?" Alex asked. "Well, if it's ok with you guys, I'll move in here." Avani said. "I think I speak for everyone when I say we'd love you to move in!" Addison said. A couple of hours later everyone went upstairs to get ready for the party. I wore the tube top I bought from Forever 21 and black cargo pants. I straightened my hair and put a bandana on, I asked Avani to do my makeup. It was 11:30 p.m and people were starting to arrive. I saw Chase's ex Cynthia come in, me and her used to be best friends until her and Chase broke up.
Chase's POV:
I was looking for Charli when I saw her talking to my ex Cynthia. I walked over. "Hey Cynthia, how was your drivers test? Did you cheat on that too." I said glaring at her. At this point there was a crowd gathering around us. "Ugh whatever. Nice downgrade by the way." she said looking Charli up and down. Charli looked pissed. "What the fuck did you just say?!" Charli said ready to kill her. "You heard me." Cynthia said a smirk playing at her lips. Charli raised her hand to punch her but I grabbed her wrist before she could. "Don't waste you're time on this bitch." I said leading her away. "Get out Cynthia!" I heard Thomas yell at Cynthia. I assumed she left. "One minute til midnight everyone!" Nick yelled through the house. Me and Charli went and stood in front of the tv. "10, 9, 8, 7, 6!" everyone screamed. "5, 4, 3, 2, 1! HAPPY NEW YEAR!" then people started kissing. I looked at Charli then I just leaned down and kissed her. To my surprise she kissed back.
Charli's POV:
Chase kissed me. And I kissed back. I felt fireworks. We broke away and leaned our foreheads against each other. We were both smiling, we looked around and everyone was cheering at us. "Well it's about fucking time!" they all screamed. We all laughed. About an hour later the house was empty, we were cleaning up after the party. "Hey." Chase said walking up to me. "Hey." I said smiling. "I'm kinda tired, I'm gonna go to sleep." he said yawning. Why is that so cute? "Ok, can I come with you?" I asked. "Sure, everyone else has already gone up." I smiled then we walked up the stairs. I tripped on the stairs but Chase caught me before I could fall. "You ok?" he asked me. "I had a few drinks so I'm a little tipsy, but other than that I'm fine." I said. Then he lifted me up on his back and carried me the rest of the way. He let me down on our bed, I got up grabbed some sweatpants and a crop top and put them on. "You want a hoodie?" Chase asked me. "Yes please." I said smiling. He threw his purple hoodie over and I put it on. I brushed my teeth and took off my makeup then climbed into bed. I put my head on his chest and he put his arms around me. I felt safe in his arms.
Chase's POV:
I looked down at Charli. She had drifted off to sleep. She looked so cute, I could stare at her all day but my eyes started getting heavy. Before I knew it I was asleep.
