What happened?

Home sweet home

A 16 year old girl walks down a street. She's about 5'7 and she's Welsh. Her name is Charlie. She goes to Sconova High-school, she's a sophomore. She lives in a town in Arizona named Zest. Charlie doesn't know anyone around,  as she's only just moved here. School starts in 2 days.

Charlie walks into her house. As soon as she gets in her father speaks, "Did you make any friends this time?" he asked.

"No. Everyone I spoke to ignored me."

"Make friends with some sheep then." Father smiled.

"Oh hahah, very funny." Charlie said amused.

Charlie walks to her room and starts to text her friends back in New Jersey. She eventually drifts off to sleep, as she hasn't rested much recently.

2 days pass. It's the first day of school for her. Hopefully NOW she'll make some friends. Charlie wakes up to smoke, "Father is probably cooking. I told him not to cook this morning!" Charlie gets up and runs to the kitchen. A lady with long blonde hair was at the stove, while father was dealing with a flame that wasn't even near the stove.

"Mother? I thought you weren't coming back until Thursday?" Charlie said confused.

"Oh, darling. I said Tuesday. Now, don't mind your father, I think he burned something. He'll deal with it, he's good like that." Mother explained.

Charlie went back to her room and changed into her school clothes. "Do you want to eat something?" Mother asked.

"BLOODY HELL" a man yelled. Presumably Father.

"One moment." Mother walks out of Charlie's room.

"THIS FOOD IS GOOD!" Father yelled happily.

"Oh for the love of christ I thought something bad happened!" Mother said worriedly.

Charlie came out of her room, "Sure, I'll eat." Charlie sat down at the dining table.

A few minutes pass and the school bus came to pick Charlie up.

"Oh christ! I need my bag!" Charlie gets up and runs to her room. She grabs her bag and bursts out the front door, running for the bus. She made it in. A random girl tells Charlie to sit next to her. Charlie reluctantly sat next to her and the girl immediately put her hand out for a handshake.

"You're a new girl right? My name is Ellie. My friends call me Kitchen." Charlie took Ellie's hand and shook it. "My name is Charlie."

"What a pretty name. Welcome to S..S.."

"Sconova High-school." Charlie helped.

"Thank you. Truth be told, I'm actually a freshman, I know a sophomore though, he's great!" Kitchen said excitedly.

"I'll take your word for it." Charlie smiles.

The bus drops the kids off. Each kid ignores their lockers and heads straight for their first period. Charlie and Kitchen have the same first period (wow!) so they sit next to each other.

"Do you see that guy over there?" Kitchen said.

"What about him?"

"He's kinda hot. You can NOT deny that."

"Well, yeah I guess he is. He's good looking." Charlie replies.

Kitchen gestures the guy to come over.

"Hey, Kitchen. Who's this girl?" The guy asked.

"This is Charlie. She's new around here." Kitchen explained.

"Hey Charlie, I'm Gabe. Nice to meet you." Gabe said smiling.

"It's.. It's a pleasure to meet you too." Charlie said quietly.

Kitchen is wearing super bright colours. Along with some black and purple heart earrings. Gabe looks like he has his makeup done. What a show off. Charlie thinks. Charlie is wearing a bland brown coat with a white undershirt. She's also wearing jeans. This is the start of her journey is Sconova high-school.
