In class Amelia could hear whispers about a new kid. A boy, apparently. She didn't hear much, but she heard enough to know that there was an unknown student coming to her school today.
5 minutes before break The history teacherdroned on about a war that happened years ago. Usually Amelia would be fascinated by this type of thing, but she couldn't help but imagine what the new student would be like. Tall? Short? What colour hair would he have? Would he be kind? Her mind raced as she stared out of the grey-tinted window, and then suddenly she felt something lightly hit the back of her head. She turned to see Brandon, the boy she'd had a crush on for about 2 years, looking straight back at her, and smiling kindly he said 'Would you like to pair with me for the homework?'
Amelia felt her face set on fire but she tried to ignore it and act casual, 'Umm, sure! But,' she noticed his eyes light up slightly as she smiled back at him 'who's house?' 'Well, my parents are away for a few days so, you could come over to mine?' He replied. Amelia's stomach was filled with butterflies as she played different romantic scenarios in her head, but then she remembered, she isn't in a romance movie or story. 'That sounds good! Should I bring anything or...' she started packing her things away into her bag as the bell echoed down the cold school corridors. 'Nope, I have snacks and stationary, and a lot of materials we can use for presentation.' He grinned at her. 'Okay, cool!' 'Tonight at 7?' 'Yeah sounds great! See you then!' 'See you!' Brandon smiled at her as he walked off. Amelia smiled and laughed silently to herself as she followed him out of the classroom. She had 2 hours left of school and then she would go home and prepare to go to Brandon's house. She had a whole plan in her head, and she was off in space thinking about how the evening would play out when she walked into someone's back. Amelia stumbled backwards and tripped, and was about to hit the ground when an icy hand wrapped itself around her waist and saved her. She looked up into the unidentified person's eyes, and suddenly felt lightheaded. 'Are you okay?' The voice that came from the stranger was deep, but soothing. She guessed he must be from London, or somewhere around there, as he sounded quite posh compared to an average English kid. He looked posh too. He was wearing a black skin tight jacket and black skinny jeans, with black trainers and a black shirt. He also had black hair, which was straight and slightly messy, but in a neat way. He had fair skin, and he smelled like smoke. 'Umm. Yes, I'm okay. Sorry about that...' she looked at him expectantly. 'Oh, I am so sorry. Sebastian. Sebastian Asmodeus.' 'Amelia Smith.' 'It's a pleasure to meet you.' He smiled devilishly at her, and she blushed at his handsomeness. 'I really must be going.' She spurted. 'Ah yes, to your Chemistry class I presume.' How did he know that? Amelia brushed it off as he swiftly removed his arm from around her waist. 'Hopefully I'll be seeing you again, Miss Amelia.' He looked at her, grinning. 'Yes, hopefully...' she replied, looking away. She began to walk to her next class, and she felt him watching her. She turned a corner and walked faster, her heart pounding in her chest. Her cheeks burned and her hands trembled as she thought about him. He was so polite but she couldn't help but feel like he had more than just good intentions.

Could he be dangerous? Why would he want to meet again? How did he know her next class was Chemistry? Maybe she'd met him before... no, she'd remember someone like him.
The day passed by quickly, and she couldn't stop thinking about him. Even at the end of the day when she was walking home with Britney and Jonathan, he was still dancing around her mind, with his dark outfit and his smoky smell.
30 minutes to 7
Amelia had already put on extra makeup and changed her clothes after having a shower. She was wondering if she should bring breathspray or mints, just in case. She decided on polos after putting on perfume, and then put on her trainers and started walking to Brandon's.
9pm, Brandon's house
It had already gotten to 9pm without either of them noticing. Another song started playing on Brandon's record player, and the pair danced and sang along while sat down. They had made a presentation on his laptop, but still had to make something to go with it. They decided that they would meet again tomorrow, same time same place, and then they both lay down on Brandon's bed, exhausted. He had a really nice room: the walls were covered in posters, pictures and Polaroids, and behind that he had sky blue wallpaper with ocean waves on. Fairy lights were strung loosely across his roof, and pictures of him and his friends attached to string which hung down his wall. He had shelves of DVDs, vinyl records and music CDs, most of them were pretty old too. His room smelled like a forest, which Amelia found really relaxing. She noticed the time and said she had to leave. 'It's been a really great night Brandon. Thanks for the snacks and music.' She laughed a little. 'No problem. See you tomorrow!' He replied. 'Bye!' Amelia left the house and walked home. She got changed into her pyjamas and drifted off to sleep and dreamed of the night, of Brandon, and of Sebastian.
