(Paige's P.O.V.)

This is it. This is the time when I finally get to see my mother.

Time flies by when you're sleeping. It just felt like a glitch when I met my twin, failed passing, and discovered a plan to see our parents. Now I'm on a plane. I take my earphones out of my ears and leave it next to the tray of food. I close the window next to me because of the sunlight and decided to call Monica to see what's going on.

Monica: "Hey, how's the ride?"

Me: "Really? That's what your going to say?"

Monica: "Yeah, anyway. You got to tell me some facts about dad."

Me: "Okay. What do you want to know?"

Monica: "Anything that is important."

Me: "Well, he doesn't like turkey, but likes chicken."

Monica: "I don't need to know those stuff. I said important stuff."

Me: "Oh. Try to not annoy him. On Tuesdays, you need to buy his favorite tacos. Don't ask too much questions and one more thing..." I paused for a moment, disgusted to say the other fact.

Monica: "Hello? You still there?"

Me: "He has a fiancé, named Claire," I blurted out, sighing.

Monica: "What? Since when?"

Me: "Since two years ago..I think."

Monica: "Ughh, okay thanks. Do you need anything?"

Me: "I'll discover things by myself."

Monica: "Okay. Now bye. The planes landing."

Me: "Bye. The plane is about to land too."

I hung up, as the flight attendant told me to turn my phone off. I smiled at her and threw my phone in my bag. As the plane starts to go faster, I quickly put on my seat belt and wait for the landing.

I step foot on the ground, feeling safe that that the plane landed. I follow a line of people checking out and gathering their bags. I take a step forward, excited that I finally get to meet my mother.

I finally checked out and proceed to the exit. There I see a lady a lot like my mum. It was her. Blonde, smiling beautifully at me. I quickly walked up to her remembering now. I had a question in mind, why didn't my dad tell me anything about her? Was it because he didn't want me to know my own mum or is it that he's scared? Why would he be scared?

"Hello? Darling, you spaced out. What happened?" She touched my shoulder and we both started to walk to the exit door. "I didn't get in, but it's okay maybe next time. My danc-drawings were a bit blurry," I lied, forgetting that I don't dance anymore. I draw. If she ever seen my drawings, it would go down the toilet by now.

"Oh, well you tried. Lets head back home so we could think about the colleges you should enroll in," she starts the car and drives back home. Colleges? Enrolls? I almost forgot about those stuff. I can't go to college right now. I have a family crisis to deal with now.

"Mum, about the school thing. Is it fine if I.... You know, start college next year?" I suggested. She raised an eyebrow, surprised at what I just said. "Start school next year? This isn't what you planned, Monica." Monica. I'm Monica now. I wonder how she's feeling. I should've over think this through. "I have to think about this first and the cost is so much," I start. "I have the extra money for you." "Could we talk about this later? I just got rejected yesterday," I frown.

"Okay. Now grab your bags. We or I have a lot to do,"she rephrased the 'I'. I get out of the car and make my way to a blue door. A garden of flowers surrounding the sides of the porch. I wonder what she does for leaving? I enter inside, mumbling a 'wow' scanning the space this house has. I live in a big house, but not as huge as this. A short lady takes my bags and decided to bring it up to 'my' room. I smiled at her and quietly said, "Thank you."

My mum grabs my hand and takes me to a large kitchen. Through the hallway, pictures of Monica filled the walls.

I sit down on a tall chair, my mum handing me pictures. "Which should I pick has a theme for the carnival? Modern time or like the 90's games?" "90's games? Maybe modern time, like today's games. Why are you planning a carnival?" I asked, not sure if Monica knows about this stuff. "I'm hosting a carnival for fun. Being a very organized planner is a big deal," she nodded. "Yeah, it is," I agreed, not sure what to say. She writes down something on a piece of paper. Then, she told me, "Why don't you go upstairs and unpack while I cook your favorite pasta." She smiled and I nodded in agreement. Pasta? I hope there's no mushrooms, cause, I'm allergic to them just like my dad.

I slowly walk upstairs, trying to find 'my' room. I opened one of the doors, discovering that it was bathroom. I close it and open the next door to the left. I open it and scan the things inside. Purple and Green walls, seem like something Monica would like. I enter inside and tour myself around her room.

Her room is so huge. She has a walk-in closet and her own bathroom. I'm not jealous or anything, but I did wish I lived in a much bigger house. I'm not poor, though.

Monica also had pictures around her walls. Many pictures of her friends, but mostly, pictures with her and Olivia. I went in her closet, thinking about wearing some of her clothes. They weren't my style actually. It wasn't girly enough. I pulled my suitcase towards the inside of the closet and drop it near drawers. I decided to not unpack since I don't want to mix her clothes with mine.

"Monica!" She called, making me walk quickly downstairs. A delicious smell of chicken with cheese filled the air. "Wow, it smells so good," I closed my eyes, sniffing it deeply. "Thank you. Now eat it!" Her eyes widened. I looked at the plate.

Mushrooms.

She put mushrooms. I can't eat this. Just by one bite I could stop breathing. What am I suppose to do now? I moved the mushrooms away from the pasta and slowly ate it.

She raised and eyebrow, confused at what I did. "I don't feel like eating mushrooms right now, mum," I explained. "But you love mushrooms. Now you sound like..." She stopped herself and frowned.

I knew what she was going to say. She was going to say 'just like my dad'.
