「c h a p t e r 5 」

"Aish. Where is she ?" taeil called for the 3rd time and his girlfriend hasn't picked up yet.

He walked and walked, not knowing where to go.

He stopped on his tracks when he saw a familiar back inside a shop that sells teddy bears.

Eri exited the shop with a teddy bear in hand, smiling. Taeil hides behind her, ready to surprise her.

He placed both of his hands on eri's shoulder.

Eri jumped in surprise and the teddy bear fell in her hand.

Taeil picked the teddy bear on the floor and he asked, grinning.

"Is this for me babe? You shouldn't have!" taeil said in excitement while pinching his girlfriend's cheeks. He was happy he received a plushie from his girlfriend.

This was actually the first time she gave me something.

"That isn't yo-- i mean yes! Errr-- it was supposed to be surprise" eri said akwardly while looking away.

Taeil noticed eri's behaviour and just shrugged it off.

Taeil offered his hand for eri to hold on.
"Let's go buy that dress of yours?"

Eri's eyes twinkled in what he said and giddily placed her hand on top of his.

She guided taeil happily to the store that was not far away from the teddy bear shop.

Taeil then sat on one of the couches while eri finds the dress she wanna buy.

"What do you think babe?" eri appeared in a red, skimpy dress.

Taeil shook his head. "Isn't that dress too short and expose your skin so much?"

"But I like this dressss~" eri said while pouting. She hugged taeil's arm, making sure to display her boobs.

Taeil didn't liked this side of eri. He rembered eri being nice, simple, and definitely well mannered. Its like she purposely want to show off her cleavage.

"But--" eri looked at him with pleading eyes.

Taeil sighed. He cannot argue with her anymore. He removed eri from his arm.

"Change in your clothes already before I change my mind in buying it." taeil ordered.

"Yey!" eri walked away not before placing his lips on his boyfriend's cheeks.

Taeil sat again on the couch, hand in his cheek where eri kissed him.

Why don't I feel tingly inside or something like before? He thought.

'Why am I questioning my feelings for her this time? Our 1st year anniversary is just a week away.'

'Oh shoot. I forgot to buy her a ring. Maybe later when we part ways.'

He continued talking to himself. Infront of her, eri is annoyed that her boyfriend's not giving her attention.

"Babe? Ey taeil." she snapped her fingers infront of him.

Taeil was surprised so he stood up immediately. Eri rolled her eyes and exited the shop.

Taeil followed her, placing his arm around her shoulder. "Hey, don't avoid me babe~"
Taeil tried to act cute but little did he know that it made eri cringed.

" *Hmp* Then buy me food." they went to a waffle shop that serves waffle (obviously) but with ice cream on top of it.

They settled on a table not far and started eating.

Eri received a call and her eyes widened.  She ignored the call and taeil noticed it.

"Why won't you answer it?." taeil asked while eating

"Uh, it's just my mom and--" eri reasoned

"Maybe its something important" taeil added.

Eri then answered the call and she greeted the other person on the phone.

"Hey mom. Why did you call? "

"Mom?? Hey babe come here quickly alright. My parents are away so..." the guy on the other line said.

eri lowered her head, trying to cover the blush that is visible on her cheeks.

"Oh reolli? Okay im on my way then"eri faked a gasp which worried taeil.

"What happened? Do you need me to drop off your house ?" taeil asked finishing his waffle quickly.

"Uhm, it-- its okay. I know you tired and all but I can manage. I'll be on my way then. Bye~".

She quickly walked away, feeling sorry for lying but she smirked at the thought of hers.

'Shall I wear the new dress that I bought? I'm sure he will love it'

Taeil saddened at the thought that he didn't receive a goodbye kiss from her girlfriend.

He was ready to go back at the apartment when he remembered to stop by the jewelry store.

He entered the said shop and roamed his eyes on the rings that were displayed. His eyes caught a simple looking ring with a blue gemstone on it.

He asked the lady on the shop the price of it and he immediately checked the cash on his wallet.

'If I buy the ring, i can only eat chicken noddles at this rate' he worried.

'Imma find a job real fast' he was determined to find one because of the situation.

He bought the ring and headed to search a job with his bike.
